Afternoon, everyone.
Was out with the family yesterday. Went up to DeSoto Caverns. Just before we went in, I started to get dizzy and probably would have been wise just go and lay down but I wanted to see the cave. Big mistake. Had major vertigo there and the 100% humidity was suffocating. I managed to make it back out after downing a few valium tablets but I felt really rotten the rest of the day, fighting off waves off nausea and vertigo. I laid in the front seat like limp rag while my son drove the rest of the crew up to Leeds to go through a haunted factory. Everyone said it was pretty good but I was in no shape to be doing that. Got home about 11:00 pm and went right to bed, sleeping until 10:00 this morning. I still feel like I've been hit by a train. I hate Menieres.
Paul, sorry to hear about the hip replacement issue. That kind of surgery is really a crap shoot, with some people doing very well afterwards and others ebing worse off. If you decide to go ahead with the surgery, just make sure it's with an orthopod who's done lots of them before since this seems to be a major variable in predicting success. Whatever's going on with the atery in your heart needs to be taken of first since you want your ticker to be functioning well before surgery. As for Nattokinase, it looks to be a promising enzyme therapy that may serve as a clot buster but there hasn't been enough human or animal research to know for sure. Be sure you talk to a cardiologist before trying it, especially if you are on any other blood thinner, even a daily baby aspirin.
Steve, how is your mouth doing? I hope the holes are healing up. As Jeffrey said, that much hail and I'd be headed for the basement fast. Tornados here are usually preceeded by large falls of hail.
We get very few trick or treaters here. A lot of people go to their churches where the kids go from car to car in the parking lot to get treats. The unreasonable fears about kidnapping and poisoned candy have pretty much ruined Halloween as I knew it when I was a kid.
