You sure don't waste any time. Nice work.
Thanks Chet but it sure does not seem to be moving fast . Maybe if I worked on it rather than playing on the computer

I agree with Chet, you do get things done quickly. I think you are a bit like me, when you get an idea and start it, you can't put it down till it is finished

Some really nice work on that trestle. You are defiantly making fast progress on your layout.
It sure does not seem fast to me . Especially when you cut the same little pieces over and over

Here is where it is at now .
Now for my step I get to go cut and glue a lot more little pieces !!!
Jim,
Darn, that is one HUGE Trestle and is going together quickly and very well indeed. I hope, when it comes time to build mine, I can do half as good a job as you are doing!
WOW, Fantastic.......will you be able to pick it up in one piece?
The secret to doing a good job Tony is simple .... Buy a crappy camera !!!

Lloyd , I do think that it will pick up and handle easily once I get all the cross bracing and horizontal bracing on . Atleast , that's the plan.

It looks like it's being BUILT 'right' and in that case it should hold together quite nicely.
How are you going to install the river below? Are you planning on just cutting out and lowering the subroadbed section?
Michael , go back to post 42 . I think that is probably the best shot to illustrate what I am doing . I had to build the canyon in 2 steps because I could not reach the back otherwise . You can see a 2x4 sticking out , that will be the continuation of the stream bed and the 2 plywood pieces on angles on the side is where the bents will sit when everything is complete . I have the rest of the frame work sitting on the floor ( it just needs some screws to put it back in position ) so I could finish the back part . The track part that is all up in the air is what the trestle will replace . I cut out the plywood and made all the provisions ( I hope ) before the track went down . Does that kind of make sense?
Makes sense to me, and I agree you are doing an excellent job with that trestle!
Jim,
Your definitely not giving yourself enough credit mate ... crappy camera or not your doing a great job.
Now that the bridge is finished , I can start back on the rest of the canyon . It will be nice to get back to throwing plaster around ! There was a question about the rigidity of the bridge . Now with all the braces attached there is absolutely no flex at all . You can hold it in your hand and give it a shake and nothing moves. Time to get out to the layout now and get it in position so I can start working on foundations . I will have to get those done first so I can work the landscape up/into them.
That is some mighty fine work right there!
Holy begeeeeeeeeebus BATMAN, that looks outstanding. That came out really nice. It sure looks like million little pieces too!
