Murphy's law, or sod's law, has descended on me again, the sodding "dead" motor isn't, runs great, (do not ask me how, or why, spent 3 days trying to get it to run, had no joy with it) Now all I have to do is find out how to get the couplings to rotate with the flywheel, and not with the worm gear.

The company was founded in 1906 and opened its mainline between Dothan, Alabama and Panama City, Florida in 1908. Later reclassified as a short-line railroad, its assets were acquired by the Bay Line Railroad in 1994.
Although UP never interchanged with ASAB but on my layout they do!I just happen to like the fact they had quite a few Alcos!
I especially like the RS-1s they had! So in the future I will obtain (2) locomotives one RS-1 and 1 either GP 38-2 or GP 40 in the ASAB scheme that will interchange on my JR UPRR.

I think you got a better deal with this one, than the first one that you didn't get, seems every cloud has a silver lining, but sometimes you just don't know it.I don't remember if ya'll remember this locomotive I won a while back from ebay but I never got it and the seller chose to refund me and not give it to me. Most likely due to not a high enough bid amount etc.
Anyways I found another one but this one was modified with added TSUNAMI sound and LED ditch lights etc. I found it on FB Market Place. I should have it by the end of next week or even by Friday we shall see not likely with the holiday coming up. It does have minor issue with grab irons at the steps but I can deal with that.....he even sent me a video of it running etc so that was nice to have seen that.

DCC and sound for $140 is pretty good I think !
It's nearly new, seller says it hasn't been used at all, I checked for a similar Intermountain loco with the similar specs, over here your talking a little over $300 so at a $140 I couldn't say no.
