Mail Call! Railway Post Office, commonly abbreviated as RPO has rolled in!

Excellent purchases. When it comes to pricing on my hobby stuff, sometimes it doesn’t matter. If I want it or need it that works for me.

This arrived yesterday. Home Shop LLC has been creating free lance road names and getting Exactrail to produce them. I believe there are 7 pieces from various free lancer railroads. One is a very good online buddy. So, I ordered a few and one arrived.

It will be heavily almost rust bucket style weathered in the near future

As mentioned in the coffee shop today. I ordered my first Scale trains product. This will go with the Union Pacific Big Boy I previously posted....for now any ways until the correct order arrives. Then I will reappropriate these to the Challenger when I get that.

So here we have Scale Trains SXT30017_#907856 & #907857 Rivet Counter HO Scale Union Pacific Steam Excursion Pre-2006 Water Tender Set

I will show these off when I do the debut on JR's UPRR thread with the Big Boy and the newly acquired water tenders, these cars and the dome cars I got a while ago. I may later try to get a tool car and the generator car. We shall see. Right now it is enough until I get progress on the track laying on the layout. I do have an eye out for the Challenger 3985 and a 844. I have not decided what name brand to go with. I am hearing mix reviews between the new BLI Paragon release 4 vs the New Athearn Gen 2.0. I do like my Athearn 2.0 Big Boy only because well it runs well but I got a great price on it too. Ah the wonders of tenology advances on these locos........

I got this in today...new old stock....needed some maintenance equipment....

Walthers Sperry Rail Car #SRS 124
Model #932-6273

Powered and lights etc. I will need to install a Digitraxx dcoder.

Just picked this up, no idea as to the manufacturer as it was pre-built, the Silo is a working model, so I could add a servo to operate it, need to straighten one side and , paint and weather, add some glazing then see about adding some lights.

Also this tanker, may get a few more of these.

Never new, until yesterday, what this thread was about. Just got this in the mail yesterday, from Tichy:

I almost fell over when shipping was only $5.00. NBW for new bridge in progress, milk cans for scenery, stairs to upgrade some cruddy ones on my Sawmill office bldg.

Below - got these from ebay last week. Antique Varney stuff for parts. I need the trucks on the tender, also a couple details broken on the Casey Jones I am fixing up.

Those old carpet backing remnants probably toxic but make good padding.

Dave.....
Glad you came in to check this thread out! A lot of neato stuff everyone gets! I love the show and tell it's quite informative at times!

Been helping a friend with his fathers old OO scale DC trainset, (circa1940-50) been boxed for decades, wanted the Loco's serviced etc, (he's clueless about MRR, but his grandson showed interest, but in more modern US loco's, so he's bought a few for him, all off fleabay, but knowing nothing about them, bought some real rubbish too, which I've got running for them, as a thank you I've been given this Rock Island GP9 in full working order.

Oh! the number board is in there somewhere, have to glue it back in place.
