I don't promote it I just have a dark humor I apologize I'll tone it back. You know, we just got Jaz to come back. I'm not sure that promoting violence against women is a good way to be welcoming.
What did you use to make the ratchet/chain binders?I posted this thread a few years ago. In 1980 I was called to run a work train out of North White Plains to replace a water drainage pipe at White Plains station that ran under the tracks there. We had an engine, a flat car with a backhoe on it and a caboose for the MOW workers to ride in. I refused to take the train because the backhoe was not tided down in any way but was just sitting on the flatcar. They told me I was a troublemaker and White Plains station was only 2 miles away and the MOW foreman would take full responsibility for anything that may happen in the 2-mile trip down the tracks. As we were passing though North White Plains station the backhoe's outriggers hit the platform and fell off the flatcar and on to the platform where people were waiting for the next train. No one was hurt but the next day I was called for the same work train but this time they had about 10 tiedowns on the backhoe. I thought I would do a model of that day which you can see in the model below. Swal

Do you remember about when did Penn Central stop using the former Cleveland Electric locomotives? I have a book by Don Ball Jr. "Americas Colorful Railroads" The Second Generation and there's a picture in early 70s of one of the P motors on Amtrak (?) train.I posted this thread a few years ago. Truckdad let me look around downstairs and I'll get back to you. I still have some left over from the project. SwalWhat did you use to make the ratchet/chain binders?
That's a tough one KriegslokBR52. That was a long time ago. I do remember using one to switch with at the North White Plains passenger yard I think that was at least in 1975. I remember it well because it was in the winter and the electric fans, I guess to cool the motors drew in all the cold outside air freezing my ears with the window open. The yard was usually switched out using an RS-3. The FL9 diesel / eclectic took over their job on the Harlem and Hudson lines. That's the last time I remember running one. I used some red solid telephone wire and added a handle. But my eyes ran out of steam…..Truckdad let me look around downstairs and I'll get back to you. I still have some left over from the project. Swal
Speaking of the Packers, they were named after the Indian Packing company who gave Curly Lambeau, the seed money to start the team. Curly was a shipping clerk at the Indian Packing Company.I saw this on an SUV today at the daughter’s doctor appt. I thought of Tom @TLOC

Well, they are Chinese. Most Asians naturally have black hair...Every one had black hair, black shoes and a sprue attachment point on the top of their heads.
These are the kinds of distractions I come here for.Sorry for the distraction.
My wife makes scrambled eggs with onions. The first time she made it for me I thought "that is crazy!" You can imagine what I thought of your breakfast. That's breakfast
That's interesting. The standard now is for US sports teams at the pro levels to mostly be named after their city or sometime state or region they come from. In Japan, all the pro level baseball teams have corporate owners and are named such.Speaking of the Packers, they were named after the Indian Packing company who gave Curly Lambeau, the seed money to start the team. Two years later, the Acme Packing Company acquired Indian Packing. For a brief time, the team was referred to as the Acme Packers, and their uniforms even bore that name.
Not too different from the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters.
I just like garlic. And cheese. And eggs. And spices. So naturally I put them all togetherThese are the kinds of distractions I come here for.

Now I love scrambled eggs with onions. You never know until you try it.
