I was out walking this late morning and the neighbor lady asked me if I was ready for tonight. She said to expect a lot of kids. I may pick up another bag but I already have a Costco sized bag of candy sitting here.
Need to head down to Utah county to drop of a check at a bank and then hit the Costco on the way home for a few groceries.
It was 62F when I got back form the walk (57F when I left) though when I came up for my online meeting it was 61F. Probably won't be much more than 61F-63F today though it's sunny.

My nephew dropped by just before I was going to start lunch. Asked me if I wanted to run out the the gunshop with him. Seems he changed his mind about the new Walther and bought an HK P2000 instead. Nice pistol. He went to fill out the paperwork and we looked around some. Didn't see anything I couldn't live without. He has to go back Monday to pick it up.
The shop had a Manurhin (Walther) PP I handled, but wasn't too impressed with the condition for what he was asking at $789. He does work with you some on price for regulars like me, but since I wasn't all that interested, I didn't want to haggle. It was just OK with light freckling on the right side of the slide and some sort of finish wear in one spot on the left. No finish on the backstrap and thinning pretty good on the front. Action was nice and trigger pretty good too. Probably a former police pistol carried in a flap holster near as I can figure having seen this wear pattern before.
I'm sort of casually looking for a late model Walther P1 that doesn't look like it was dragged behind a truck. Lots of examples on GB, but I'd rather deal locally and not hassle with the FFL and shipping and money order/credit card business.

Good evening all. Just finished working. Week started off like 
, if one counts Sunday as the first day of the week. Audi took a crap, or more specifically automatic gearbox (that's why i don't like automatics)
The car is gone to a scrap dealer as i wasn't going to even try to find a gearbox for that. The thing might of had even 300K miles on it for all i know. Odometer quit at 194K. Too bad because the body was solid. So now a hunt for a new junker commenced, so i won't have to put miles on my new car. Plenty of trips to New Jersey to deliver and pickup. This was on I280 and the railroad is the old Lackawanna mainline to Scranton. This shed on top of swinging bridge and old tower of the station is Harrison, NJ:
Today beautiful but very windy and all inbound flights to EWR (Newark International) used the approach right above Port of Newark. So after getting and securing my freight, i took a moment for a free air show:
And right as the sun is setting a shot of "Keystone Service" from Big Apple to Harrisburg. Pictures taken near Bird in Hand, not far from my base.
Shortage of cab cars is an excuse for Amtrak to waste precious power on the rear ends of some trains. But hey, they get their money from the government. Pictures of "Keystone" taken just minutes ago.

We had big time rain all the way to mid-night and then big time wind. At least the stuff on the ground are leaves and not candy wrappers.
