Another month here already. Time flies when you're retired!

I estimate we had 70-80 kids. Didn’t use the whole Costco bag of candy. I sat by the front door with the iPad and watched Me tour Pilot and Ukraine Matters and some Simon Whistler video about ancient mysteries we’ve solved recently while I wanted. The front door is not that close to heh kitchen where I otherwise would have been sitting. And about of kids were knocking instead of ringing the bell and it’s hard to hear the knocks.

Travel day today. Made the donut run. Trying to get the "Amish Crack" donut out to our friends in Vegas. Wife warned me not to eat this one.

Powdered Cinnamon-Caramel sugar all over it. Very yummy.

We're packed but killing time because wife always wants to arrive "right on time" and not do early morning travel. We're getting picked up by our friends from Henderson NV, then going out to celebrate their 45th anniversary. We'll spend the night at their place.

So, wife decided we'd bring the dessert for the anniversary dinner. Hence the donut.

I never sleep well on travel days, so I'll try to grab a nap for an hour.

I am constantly surprised by the helpfullness (?) of some people. I asked a shop that provided small circuit board DIY stuff for DCC if they could do the soldering for me since it is super tiny work that I don't have the capability for. Next 18 socket, yeah right... They came back and said no. So I went back to their site and found some boards that they offered that would be easier for me to handle (NPN IC board for changing logic to power outputs for DCC). So I ordered a few of these and some other stuff. I had to go to the post office to transfer the money to them and let them know that I had done so. They responded and said that they also included a "sample" board of what I had asked for in my first email to them. Well, it came in today and they not only provided me a sample board with the components, but a fully welded board as well! Wow, I was blown away!

Uh, so I ordered some magnifying glasses finally... haha

Good morning all!

Welcome to November already!

Currently 35F heading up to a high of only 48F. They say some possible rain later this evening but its not a big chance.

Last night we had around 50 Trick or Treaters come to the door. A few more than usual. We have a bunch of Snickers and Reeses
left over but trust me, they wont go to waste.

Not sure what's on the agenda for today.
