I did some more reworking on the mountain. I didn't like how the rock wall had a 90* edge around it. So I brought down the slope to the ground, looking more natural.

I'm not an operations guy, but I think I would try with something like that. I think it would give a much greater sense of a running a real railroad. An 8x14 layout like mine would be such a small portion it's hardly worth setting something up. Nice looking club layout you have there.

Nice pictures so far people. It makes me want to get back at it. After Christmas I hope.
 
I like the Thomas set in the background. :) I would've stared at that for hours as a little kid!
 
These all look great. I'm going to be working on my first layout here real soon. Still working on some ideas. I'm just curious though. What do you use to make the rock look so realistic?

Here is my submission for the week.

The hogger sees the high ball and gives two short blasts on the whistle. The two plumes are still visible.
