Good morning all. A day of showers (again).
A large coffee on the go please, Flo.

Dawn and I have recovered from 'the bug' that is going around, so catching up on some jobs we were 'too ill' to do.

Back Later

Good morning. It's raining and 75. Coffee and English muffin with cream cheese, please.
After we film an episode of my daughter-in-law to be's Jeep rehab, I'm borrowing my son's truck and returning to Tampa, where I'm putting all my valuables in totes and boxes, in preparation for evacuating Tuesday.

Good morning! 49° , clear and sunny. Rutgers station at the Reservoir recorded 44° this morning. Nice October Weather.
Talking about Hurricanes, Hurricane Kirk is on a clear Path to France & Germany...didn't know that was the Tropics.

Hurricane Leslie....is starting to turn to the North...just as self centered and indecisive as my wife's friend Leslie.

Then there is Milton, quickly moving towards Florida. Somewhere in New York, this is fodder for a comedian... In Florida, it's the horror of having to deal with another weather monster. Good luck.

The Amazin's pulled off another "miracle" comeback...How many more?

Enjoy your Sunday.

Good morning to the world. A nice Wisconsin morning at 55f degrees now heading to a cool 66. It’s dry with very clear skies and plenty of wind. No projected “lines of death” here but heck, anything is possible. Stay safe Terry!

We were at the theater last night to see the Hubbard Street dance troupe out of Chicago. A modern interpretive dance troupe that was ok! We saw them per the wife’s notes 32 years ago in Wausau Wi. It was a birthday present for the then 10 year old daughter. Let’s just say to be nice is that the dancers have talent. There is no need to see this troupe again.

Today will be interesting! At 1 we will be on campus to see the UW Volleyball ladies play the U of Washington. We will come home and watch some of the 3:25pm Packer game. Having too many really good young wide receivers has caught up to the Packers. There just are not enough balls to go to each and the guy who is supposed to be #1 threw a temper tantrum this week. The Pack suspended him. I love drama in football. Then at 7pm today we head back to the Overture Theater to see Steve Martin and Martin Short do their 2 hour comedy act. It’s supposed to be great and the tickets were a significant additional payment to our Broadway Musical play subscription we have. While I’m not a fan of either Terry is and that’s good enough to buy the tickets. Plus, like hotel rooms, going to the theater, even to see interpretative dance, is a great aphrodisiac. A funny comedy act is golden! Things I’ll put up with…

Weathering! I feel much better health wise and I think the strength is improving. Better health means I can weather for longer periods and I’m back to having fun. See the Continuous Weathering threads to see what’s going on! This morning aI am re-doing the truck frames on 5 cars. Taking pictures yesterday showed me what I thought was a brownish rust color was not!

Enjoy the day

I had a good day betting the horses yesterday. Spent $6.00 on the Belmont at Aqueduct pick 5 and won $431.00 Then later spent $7.40 on Flambro Downs Hi 5 and won $180.00 Those winning will keep me going for a while. Vacuumed of my train layout getting ready to run some trains in the near future. I only plan on playing golf a few more times before hanging up the clubs for this year.

Good Morning All. Mostly clear and 65°, same old weather forecast continues. No complaints except for the total lack of rain.

Last night, we tried a new recipe for homemade vinegar-based coleslaw. Instead of vinegar, we used Lime juice. WOW! Really good. It went well with the Cajun-style baked chicken wings. It was a total low-carb meal with Raspberries as well.
I spent part of yesterday refilling the new refrigerator and freezer with the stuff that I didn't put back Friday evening; then rearranging stuff that wifey didn't like. Laundry filled out the household chores before I stacked some previously cut firewood.
Had to quit reading news stories yesterday. It was getting boring with all the finger-pointing about FEMA, all of the trash talk from politicians, the anticipation regarding the Middle East and the general malaise about life in America. I had to go out to the train shed where all of the citizens are jovial, although rigid.

Speaking of the train shed, I spent most of my time out there yesterday overhauling a trio of locomotives, 2-GP60M's and a GP60B. They were running sluggishly on Friday and I noticed that I hadn't done any maintenance on them since purchasing them in 2008 or so. They are all Athearn RTR locos that run in a lash-up together, usually pulling a unit grain train or intermodal train. Dismantled them, cleaned out the old Chinese grease from the trucks, cleaned up contact points (axle bearings etc) and re-greased the gears with Labelle #6. Cleaned wheels with my Kadee / Speedi Driver Cleaner and they were good to go.

Afterwards, I got out the last unfinished Mini Prints figure that I have and cleaned up the flash in preparation for painting.

She'll join up with one of my other sets of bicyclists already on the layout to make a trio.

She'll probably fit in best with the 2nd pair.

David - Every cat that we ever owned was a "drop-off" that wandered to our house. All were "barn-cats" who lived outdoors, usually in the barn, but one lived under the house his whole life with us.
Terry - Stay safe.

Everyone have a wonderful Sunday.

Good morning all!

Going to be a gorgeous day today. Temps are going to be in the low 70s. Its a bit windy, but still pleasant to be outdoors,

With yesterdays basketball tournament taking all day yesterday, the errands that would of been done yesterday have to be done today. good news is we took 2nd place overall. The girls were thrilled!

Have a safe Sunday all!
