Good for you! You deserve it!

Enjoy! :D
Thank you, Mike!

I am enjoying playing with my trains!

The doctors tell me I need to stay active, working covers that. I have zero motivation to exercise. I'm always motivated to do good work, especially for good money.

Today I can't count the number of times I have been up and down the stairs working on the train in the living room. My legs are telling me I got enough activity for one day. One more trip to clean the track and I'm done for the day.

Thank you

He’s a smart kid that’s pretty grounded. He learns and understands quickly and I give credit to that to his mom and my wife.
Your love, attention and support are extremely important to him. Kids without one or more of those things often lose focus, despite having extraordinary talent.

Sooooo, when the next version of JAVA becomes available, does my current version no longer work?
Its not a current version thing, its the version the app was written with. I was doing security on unix systems, Java was always a candidate to upgrade due to security holes, and every time I tried to upgrade, I got the Wailing and Gnashing of teeth for the app folks saying their app could not run on the new version.

New puter, new problems.

SO I bought this new puter for the layout and programming. I downloaded Lokprogrammer and Decoder Pro seems to be fine. I can't launch Decoder Pro. I keep getting a Java error. I downloaded Java for Win 11 . Any ideas.

The puker is a Dell Optiplex 3060
I had the same problem when I put decoder pro on this laptop. I also downloaded Java for Win 11, but I had to do something else. I just cannot remember what it was though. Somewhere in the windows settings is a toggle to enable Java. Once you find it, it works.

Good evening gentlemen. Show this weekend, so some searching was done and some parts were purchased:

Looks like Penn Central has became popular subject with modelers, this red "P" GP30 was sandwiched between two Conrail GP30s on a large 0 gauge layout. The brass AEM7 in H0 was one of my favorites, but the price was waaay beond my scope:

Very rare GHB model.

I found All Nation wheel set in 0 gauge two rail, and Northern Pacific style pilot for my 0 gauge Rivarossi model:

For all the negative hype, operationally, it was a well run railroad. Bad decisions from the top prevented the Railroad from succeeding, but it ran well. Conrail for the most part was given the funds to implement the changes Bevan refused to fund.
My PRR operation has morphed into PC and I'm happy with it. My focus being 1968 - 1972.

There's a JMRI users group at jmriusers@groups.io . It's a mail list. I'm on it but don't use JMRI (I tried some 6-7 years ago when I got my first NCE DCC but never got it running and then I moved on to my DR5000 and other software). But I kind of read the occasional post and these sorts of issues with JMRI and Java come up pccasionally and some really knowledgable folks are on there to help.

- on sathurday our annual general meeting from the Swiss Discgolf Associattion was held in Bern. And i got ellected as the new President. Guess iam making Discgolf great again :p No it was great before me and will be great after me, but iam happy to be president now.

on sunday me and my girlfriend did a walk in the "mountains". what you see on the picture is the Vierwaldstättersee. The Mountain on the Left is called Pilatus. I also had a short time in the trainroom, and did finally prime my two lasercut buildings. still have to decide what color they will get finally.

I wish i was around to witness Penn Central. With electric operations and 90 plus models of motive power, it sure must've been fun to stand at the trackside.
