Going to do the ground cover tomorrow
MARVELOUS modeling !!
but aren't you concerned that the locos could run off the ends of those rails?
Not at all...the locos are only for display and photos. They are also brass and quite heavy. Other than that the locos are put back in the display case.
Beautiful! I was wondering where the workers were, but then I saw most of them were on a coffee break!

Well done. Do you intend to detail the remaining stalls as well?
The remaining stalls will have some details but not as many as the machinist bay. As for the figures, I haven’t placed them all yet. I have another engine coming that will be dismantled so I can have the workers repairing it.
Here are some additional photos of the other bays. I still have some details to place.
I still have figures, fire extinguishers, air hose stands and miscellaneous details to glue in place
Put in sink, placed fire

extinguishers and now placing figures
Okay I am starting the roof of the roundhouse. I have to make the smoke stacks and then cut them so I can have a removable roof. I use AK asphalt as my top coat for the asphalt roof effect. I use a thin layer as this product is quite expensive but the result is amazing.
RE#1, I can’t send you a pic in private mail so here is the type of stonework I want to recreate if you have any ideas?
I am assuming you are scratch building this?
I am so glad these are done

Great Job, very impressive! You could maybe talk about how you determined the roundhouse's foot print. How far will the roundhouse be from the Turntable? Where did you find all the machinery and details? How long have you been building this structure?
