I am making a seven stall wooden roundhouse with the seventh bay being a machine shop area. The interior will be done. This diorama will have a turntable and a rail car shop. I will also have side track with various freight cars, water, sand, coal and ash pit. 😁

I might suggest you add a base to your roundhouse,...like the thin metal one I added here

makes things a little easier to handle and move around.

I'm also considering adding a paper image to my tracks to indicate the pits that most would find below the tracks in the roundhouse.

I've also included a number of interior pics of roundhouses over there,..that I hope to add some details to mine in the future.

My base for the roundhouse will be made of plaster simulating concrete once painted and will have pits in some of the bays. As for the turntable I will be purchasing one from Custom Model Railroads.
