    Vine and Branches

Finally got the layout clean enough I felt I could share a picture. There will be a scene divider down the center. Yes the space between the main layout and staging is very narrow but I don't have any more space o. The other side because of the wood stove. Probably start some scenery in the...

    Hopper Barge scratch build

A recent MRR magazine article inspired this build. The cargo will be either coal or gravel. Since I have not 100 confident I'll even be able to use it on my layout I decided to not use my limited supply of styrene. I also wanted to inspire others with limited funds and resources. I laminated 4...

    DCC ID for 316A/B/C

Just picked up some GN F7's (ABA). They are numbered 316A, 316B, & 316C. My question is since it seems that the recommendation is to give the engine the ID of it's number what do people do for the letters? I was thinking maybe 3161, 3162, 3163. Curious how others have handled this? I'll probably...

Working on building the Walther's Chip. I'm wondering what the whole in the top of the roof is for? (https://www.walthers.com/sawmill-outbuildings-kit) I added the brace on the top as I have this habit of making roofs removable.

    Railroad Equipment Cabinet Video Tutorial?

Thinking about starting up a YouYube channel. Like if you would watch a video on how I made this equipment cabinet from a for sale sign. Took a couple of hours from start to finish but could probably be done in less, since house hold responsibility fit in that time too. Open to feedback and...

Not sure there is much to show off here but we'll give it a try and welcome any feedback. This diorama was inspired by several different sources: Boomer Diorama's YouTube channel, @RE#1 's Locomotive Shop, Pike Stuff Engine facility and I'm sure more. Here's the progress so far. I'm trying...

    Walthers GP9 one truck shorting

    Couldn't resist

I couldn't resist several tank cars at $6.80. (Yard Master Price) https://www.walthers.com/tank-car-ready-to-run-montana-rail-link-blue-white. (Part # 931-1446) If nothing else it will be a good car to practice weathering. It has metal wheels so I will not change those out but I might change out...
