Good morning all.

Rainy day and Wednesdays. Woke up an hour before my alarm clock, like normal. BP was 94/71, again low, but I forgot what the plan was and I took my lisinopril anyway. After a cup o'coffee and food, I just checked it and it is 113/69 - acceptable.

Well, the gas bubble is finally gone from my eye. Now that it is gone, it feels like the eye has clouded over but it may just be that I am no longer concentrating on the bubble and this is what it was before. Going to see the doc today and am hoping that it is moving fwd. For some reason, I don't seem to be too overly concerned. At this point, I just want to wash my hair! If I do lose the eye, I'm thinking my driving days will be over. I may give my car to my daughter who is just getting her driver's license. Then she can ferry me around. Only problem is that she won't be able to drive on base as she no longer has a MIL ID.

I set the rain gauge out yesterday and it collected 38 mm. I reset it to see how today goes. Luckily, the typhoon has petered out.

It is cold today, so I'll have to break out a jacket for the outing.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOM!
And good evening to the rest of you all. Still can't completely shake this bug, I have to get some scenery on a couple of large radius TTrak corner modules for Saturday, but just feel like garbage. My Missus is better thankfully. Got up to 87 today, it's 81 right now and the forecast is for around 90 the rest of the week with possible rain Friday. Hope you guys have a good evening.

Do you have the Emperor E655 or any other emperor locomotives?
No I don’t. Just the special car that they sold separately. One guy on the other site got upset that I was pulling it with other locomotives.

Kato is now offering the era correct imperial train for this loco. May be picking it up next month.

Oh almost forgot that they also have the EF58 61 that has the imperial accoutrements. May get that as well. Goes with the train i just mentioned above.

There is also an EF81 that is a royal train I think. EF 81-81 -- KATO 3066-G. I may have that. My roster shows KATO 3066-6 in "Plum" but it is the same EF81-81 and the various listings for it show it as "Imperial"... But I don't have any of the Imperial cars. It was used afterwards for other purposes IIRC. Looking online it shows JATO 3066-G is a re-release from Aug 2026 so maybe my KATO 3066-6 is an earlier release of the same...

Good morning Everybody!

I feel like one of the cool kids, I got to check the I am human box!

Three MLB games to catch up on. I saw the Philles lose game one of their series with the Braves.

The Padres and the Yankees both pitched exceptionally well. Like any game from spring training to the fall classic, it all comes down to getting pitches to hit and not missing them when you do.

Good pitching will beat good hitting almost every time. One exception to that rule is when the defense doesn't back up the pitcher. It happened in the first inning of the White Sox at the Astros game. Three timer gold glove winner (everybody makes mistakes) Christian Walker threw away chance for a double play to clear the traffic on the bases for the Astros pitcher. After the error Astro's pitcher, AJ Blubaugh tried to strike everybody out, walked the next guy, "Moon-Shot" (Munetaka Murakami) delivered and RBI sac-fly. instead of strikeouts he walked one more and made a quick exit. Managers have little patience in the regular season, even less in the playoffs. The pitcher must trust his defense, even after they make a mistake.

Now back to baseball - Play Ball!

Dr visit went well. He didn't notice any issues and best news yet, he told me I can start washing my hair. Just try to avoid getting water in my eye. After we finished, the other doctor wanted to see me. This was the one that missed detecting the inflammation during two scans in the morning on Saturday, my release date. Not sure why she wanted to check, maybe to reacquaint herself with what an inflammation looks like? Not sure I trust these two youngsters so I will be going to the University hospital where my surgeon works at. All day wait for a 15 minute consult, but at least I know he knows what he's doing.

The trains were pretty much empty, but I still had full contact train riding. People are such a-holes and are in a rush to go nowhere. Even with my eye patch on, they still try to run into me. One clown rushed past me, then tried to turn right in front of me. My left arm came out to ward against the collision and he ended up going into the train with me. I called him a f-ing asshole and that was the last I saw of him. On the way back, a girl tried to rush past me as we boarded. My wife was guiding me to the old folks, injured, and nursing seats and she tried to get past me. Well, she didn't. She did get a seat anyway, but really shouldn't have been sitting there anyway. Yeah, I shouldn't be out in public...

EF 81-81 -- KATO 3066-G
I have the EF81 81 in both HO and N scale, but these are the Hokutosei train locos, the N scale being 3066-E. I guess this loco had a few lives and stories to tell.

I like that picture of it on the Kato website, complete with photoshop flags. I just checked the parts listing for this model and it doesn't come with flags. The Imperial train that I just ordered also doesn't come with a set of flags.

Don't know what I'm doing up this early, but good morning! Temp is 66°F, but I expect that will fall to around 62°F or so before sunrise.

Coffee is made and I'm working on the first cup. Pancakes in a couple of hours. I haven't had pancakes in years.

Dr. tomorrow for my last CT scan I hope, along with my extra plumbing removal.

Have a great day folks! Servus!
