Every dobbie I have met has been a marshmallow outside their property. My GP is the same way. The dogs are great at perceiving a threat or friend.
Jaw strength - Doberman ~300psi
- Great Pyrenees....While there's no exact consensus, some sources place a Great Pyrenees' bite force in the range of 500-600 psi
- Kangal/Anatolian Shepard ~740psi
I still wouldn't want to test out their bite to see if it was accurate.
I have usually had 2 at a time so 2x300 and you have to stop them both. Good luck.
I can attest to not wanting to check them out though, I have been bitten by a corgi several times, one eye brow is lucky the nearby lashes cover a gap, I was wearing glasses so eyes were ok. One bite to thumb, one to back of hand (me stopping my dog attack another dog left loose to run at us snarling, and a mean one almost at my elbow
Never ever liked blue tongue

chows
And apparently Rottweilers are a pain,a vet told us he has been attacked by four, and one owner was made to bring his in to be put down and whilst he was still verbally defending the dog it turned and bit the owner damaging the webbing between thumb and finger.
My other half believes you train puppies, to know who is boss, and then you have a respectful dog.(that does NOT mean I’ll treating them)often as dog matures secondary training and reinforcement of rules. Until the petting mutt we had no dogs on chairs whilst we had kids so dog never had territorial rights. They got nice dog beds and the kids were trained to NOT go on their beds which was their territory, and not investigate dog food. We had an unfortunate incident with a male rescue dobermann, we did look to rehouse but were advised he would be put down, we kept him as an outside dog in a dog run, kids were told you go near him he goes to vet and is put down. he had a good life, but was monitored for agression
This is the man who punched a Doberman on the nose who was showing aggression towards me, he also punched a pony who was chasing me across a field, the dog (our rescue) I was offering a bone, dog took it then decided I was in HIS space, the pony I walked across it’s field with permission from the human owner but apparently not the pony, however afterwards the pony would watch me but never charged me again. ican honestly say not much messes with my other half twice. FYI he is a nice bloke, just won’t bow to aggression, human or animal. I have never seen him initiate aggression. I have seen him end it….He once went up to a bloke on a high street who was pushing a woman and told the bloke to walk away, the bloke complained it was his wife, my husband said I don’t care walk away now! After the bloke reluctantly retreated my husband advised the woman to not go home immediately and she said she could go to her brothers, and he said if aggression you will need to speak to the police. We followed her out of the immediate area, he asked if she was ok to go on from there and she agreed. hopefully the other half calmed down, but someone who is aggressive in public? I would not think so

She did not want to go to the police, her call.
Ok I diverted from the subject at least once lol.
Agreed on dogs bigger muzzle stronger jaw, dobermann compensates with speed, and often works in pairs.if we pointed at the ground by our feet within seconds a dog would be sat there, waiting for a Pat.
