For those wondering about tech support and a cat box:

And I'm proud to say that any journalistic organization I worked for never agreed to pay 787.5 million to a company for repeated and ongoing defamation... the day before the trial started and Tuckems, Hanny, the drunk judge, and whats her name had to start testifying on the stand about what they knew vs what they said...
Putting on my journalism professor/professional hat: this NEEDED to go to trial. One of the toughest parts to getting a judgment against a media outlet is proving intent to harm. The 1st amendment in the US gives really strong protections to media. Up to now, Fox has been able to skate around defamation suits by claiming that they're "entertainment" and not news.
Let that sink in...
this time, Dominion got hold of texts, and emails, and had several insiders flip because they were being told to "not remember" under sworn testimony...
Fortunately, as disappointed as I am about the last-minute settlement by Dominion, it's a huge blow.
And Smartmatic has an outstanding suit for double the amount. You can also expect class action suits from groups like Capital and DC Metro Police who were injured by the lies pushed by Fox hosts.
The most damaging pieces came from Fox execs and hosts who were concerned about having the viewership shift to the even more nutty OANN and Newsmax.
$787.5 million.
If you haven't, you should head to The Guardian (a British news outlet) and read what discovery phase of the case produced....
This isn't the end of the pain in Foxland
