I must say, I have never had any pain from anything the dentist did, even the time they took a drill in without numbing first. That was only a short job though.

Well it has been an adventurous week for my car. Weekend ended with the fuel pump. Monday I decided to replace the spark plugs. Pulled the old ones, and find out my valve cover is leaking into the spark plug tubes. Then putting new plugs in, I almost stripped out the head. Thankfully that crisis was avoided. Today I started working on my front struts Right as I got the two front struts out, my dad calls. He has a flat and needs help. I grab my portable floor jack and head out to where he is. Pouring rain, laying on the ground trying to get the spare out, and it is stuck and not going anywhere. Even a pry bar couldn't get it out. Mind you, this is just supposed to come out with the loosening of a nut.

Luckily there is a service station a couple blocks away. Pulled the old tire and ran over there, and they fixed it right up. Nail right in the center of the tread.

Got back to my car, and I remembered I need special tool whatever the number is. Ran to Autozone, and of course they don't have it. Made a quick call to a friend for some information. Solution was buying a 13/16th spark plug socket. Threw it on the lathe to get the inside plastic out. With a wrench on the end, I stuck a 10mm socket in the spark plug socket, ran a small extension to a ratchet, and bam, instant 8 dollar special tool whatever. Didn't have time to replace the back struts though. Hopefully they will go as fast as the front ones.

-Memo From the desk of Me-

I've been not as buzzy as some of you but I'm pushing the service:). Yesterday spent putting out last of the old flyers, and cleaned(maid work) around the house.:) Today, I just got done with the house and soon to finish the laundry. The wife say's to me last night, "I love having you Home!" then she Quicky makes a mess of the house!!!!:mad:LOL's I feel like Mr. Mom for corn sake! Memo to self, "Get busness up and running fast not much more of this I can take!"

Any who how, the truck signs should be finished today and the new business cards should be done Friday. I got another Lawn Quote for tomarrow (in one of those fancy hoods where people like me are kept from moving in;)), if I get it $850 to $1040 for the year depending on how much they need done!:) also got 3 pressure washing jobs lined up for November too. Not bad being winter is around the corner.

Well got's to finish the laundry!

Hello! hello! hello anybody here. Flo I hope you didn't make em all made and chased em off. Oh OK it wasn't you it was Chris. What did he do this time? You won't tell, you know this is not the army don't ask don't tell is not in effect here.:D Been a pretty busy day for me. Just have one more piece to cut and stain and the first set of cabinets will be done. On the second set all I need to do is make the boxes cause the face frames are already for installation. Glendia's (my wife) cabinets are next on the agenda. She keeps changing her mind with my help on what she wants:). At first I was going to make a broom closet like I have made for Vicki our youngest and then I said something about putting a lower cabinet in like in the kitchen except with a Formica top instead of the tile we have in the kitchen so she could fold clothes right when they came out of the dryer. Well she is not sure about that but it would give us more storage space. Well we will just have to wait and see what her mind ends up beng made to.

Afternoon, everyone.

The SIL wanted to go to Biloxi so she, the wife and I drove three and a half hours to get there. Stayed at the Imperial Palace. If you're thinking about going down that way, don't stay at the IP. Everything is expensive, the service is terrible, the A/C wasn't working right in the room, it had the most complicated TV menu system ever invented, and they made me feel like a criminal. I've never had to show my driver's license so many times to get anything. I even had to show it to pay for dinner when I used my credit card. That was enough of that. I got the restaurant manager over and told him I was sick of everyone in the hotel having my DL information along with my credit card. I showed him my State of California retired ID and my state of Alabama retired LE concealed weapons permit, both of which have my picture but not things like my home address and city. He said they ask for a driver's license to prevent identity theft. I told him that most of the thieves probably work for him. I said either take these as verification that it's my credit card or show me where to start washing dishes. He decided to take my credit card. Man, I've been to Vegas about 100 times and never had to show my DL to pay for dinner with a credit card, and half the people in Vegas make their living stealing. I could have flown to Vegas in the same amount of time it took me to drive and least have had better odds at video poker and not be treated like a thief.

Jeffrey, sounds like a real dental adventure. Getting those molars with the giant roots sometimes hurts unless they gas you. At least the toothache is gone. I hope the rest of your medical things go a little easier.

Larry, yes, a few of us are still hanging around. :) Why is it men can make up their minds about something like a cabinet in 10 minutes and it takes women days? Just hanging up a picture is a half-hour ordeal for me. My wife doesn't believe a bubble in the middle of the glass in a level means the picture is actually level. Thanks for continuing to post the new words and thoughts every day. I always learn something from them.

Chris, I'm sure you're best customers will be in neighborhoods where you'd get stopped by the cops for driving through. :) Look at this way, though. At least your wife likes having you at home. I know many marriages that ended up in divorce a year after the guy retires because they both really hated each other but at least he left for most of the day.

Barry, we have a pretty impressive looking line of storms to the west of us. We'll see if it actually holds together until it gets here. It's 80 degrees with a dewpoint of only 57 so not a very conducive atmosphere for rain yet. That tratle should really be sometyhing by the time you're done with all the hours you've put into it.

Dan, it's stories like yours that remind me why I have an AAA card. You're a lot more inventive than me. I would have just sat in the rain crying. :D

Josh, sounds like you're a pretty good mechanic too. I never was all that good at it but I was better when I was younger. Crawling around under cars just makes me dizzy now.

Corey, it always seems that, no matter how many times I clean up the layout, there's junk all over it in a week. I guess I'm just slob. I always do my best work when I wait until the last minute also....or at least that's what I tell myself.

Sorry, missed a bunch of other folks. I leave for a day and everyone come to Flos'. I wonder if there's a connection? :o The tropics are starting to heat up a bit, with a disorganized area of convection off Nicaragua that may have some potential next week. It finally warmed up here but this next front coming through should cool us down again after it hopefully gives us a shot of rain. I got part of my fascia board up finally so that will get a coat of flat black paint today. I went to Walmart to pick up a quart and it seems that flat black latex isn't a very popular color since they hade to custom mix it. Just not enough model railroaders around here. :D

Jim, My BIL/SIL live in Yazoo, and Even Wal-mart thinks twice before opening up a new store in that state. Crime is the #1 industry there! LOL's Yes, she loves having me home but, unless I start to get work and cash rolling in I'll get cabin fever fast!

Got the new X-rays done of the foot this morning. Looks like the ends of the dut bones are healing nicely and some bone regrowth is starting. Went to See the urologist in DeRidder this afternoon. Checked out good on my prostate exam. It's a little enlarged but no more than it was last year. There's no sign of any nodule formation which is a good thing. Just have to see what comes back from the blood test.

Jim: I figure I am only young once, and might as well do all I can do now. (Un)fortunately, my car likes to throw curve balls at me. Just wish I had more free time so I could do the alignment myself, or at least get it close. Instead I am dishing out a lot of money to get it done, but might as well do it right.

Chris: Love the signs. Look good on the truck
