Chris, we don't have quite the illegal alien population you do and our crime rate is a lot lower. Ya think there's a connection?

It does get a mite warm here in summer but not the constant high humidity heat you have. We also have four actual seaons here, rather than hot and not quite as hot, like you. I think I'll stick around here.

I don't know what my lawn guy does in the winter. He mows through November 1, comes back to do leaf and litter pickup until the first of December, and then disappears until about April. Maybe he's independentally wealthy or something. If it can't be done with a lawn mower or leaf blower, he doesn't do it.
Anibctnc, this the first time I've seen you here. Welcome to Flo's. All new guests have to pick up the tab on your first visit for everyone in the place, so Flo wants to talk to you.
Karl, I've Jeff Dunham on TV and love him so I'll have to keep an eye out to see if he appears down here. What's a gator blade? Sounds dangerous.
Sandy, remind me again why you like Denver?

That is a weird mannequin. Maybe he/she is cross gendered.

I can see where your niece got her good looks from.
Rex, isn't that why the Panhandle is called LA (Lower Alabama)?

I know Destin and Gulf Shores don't seem a lot different except everything is way more expensive in Destin.
As far as mandatory vaccines, that trial balloon was run up in New York state last week, and had the same success as the Balloon Boy flight. The governor issued an emergency proclamation requiring all healthcare and emergency services personnel to get the H1N1 vaccine or be suspended from work. This included cops and firefighters. Well, seems like there were a few issues with the unions over collective bargaining contracts, religious objections, and constitutional rights. 20% of the people affected by the proclamation said they would quit rather than take the vaccine. The governor rescinded the order Friday. I think a federal order for mandatory vaccines would be a bridge too far. As I wrote before, by the time enough vaccine is available, the virus will already be widespread and vaccinating someone who has or has already had the H1N1 virus is a waste of time and money. Except for recurring diseases like typhus, mass vaccination is alway expensive and ineffective, to say nothing about the obvious objections people have to being shot up with a drug with largely unknown side effects for what still appears to be a mild form of influenza. New York found out the imperial power of government only goes so far before people start fighting back.
