I think I have finally finished the interior of the Engine House....... As they say, "Close Enough!"

A couple to show the sides of the interior:

I plan to do a photo shoot of it with a different lens before I put the roof on (half of the roof will be removable for viewing). These were all taken with my 17mm - 85mm lens on the Digital Rebel. I will be trying some using the 10mm - 22mm possibly tomorrow.

Ray, I can't wait to see a loco in there and the guys working on it. That is just outstanding modeling!

K4s, No. 1361, East bound, leads a local down the Stoney Creek grade. DJ.

Great looking scenes both Ray and Jay.

Kevin, nice Ace you have there.

Here are a few cars I weathered and created loads for, this week.

WOW! Ray, Jay, Michael absolutely awesome modelling! I am just amazed at the talent on this forum.
Nice SD 70 ACE Kevin.

I don't have anything new at this time so I will show an older photo.

Athearn And I Run dc so no need for sound yet!
Getting DCC doesn't mean you have to get sound too. There are many who can happily do without it, but many others like it. For me the sound is just a mish-mash of noise as I hear everything scrambled up and have since I was 2 years old. With 9 years of special ed schools I was able to learn to unscramble speech to a large extent (except those PA speakers in stores. I never can make sense of those darn things) but I'm afraid unscrambling most non-speech sounds is virtually impossible for me, so many of them don't make sense to me anyway. So why have them on my layout?

Wow we're off to a great start, can't believe it's that time all ready!
I picked up a Rix kit the other day and modified it to fit in an empty lot. Then added a few pthings from the parts box, still not finished yet.

Good stuff so far.....

Two pics of a SP/UP leaded train that's sitting in the siding.....

....more pics and a few layout updates on my "watsonville junction" thread at "virtual layout tours"!!!!

Ray - beautiful engine house! I hope that the one I'm building ends up looking half as good.

Jay - that is a different take than your usual round of spectacular photos. Did you use natural light?

Frank - the Cotton Belt unit looks great!

Started work today on an On30 critter. I need to run to the hobby shop tomorrow and see if I can find a replacement engine for the clay stand-in. I'm sure I'll find some good junk to stick on it too!

Thanks, Adam. That's an interesting critter, nice job, so far. Actually, I was experimenting with a single source of light, a spot light, rather than my usual layout lighting. DJ.

Started playing with a couple of modules for the new layout (finally) this one will be a link between the portable sections and the staging.

Taken outside the train shed.
