Hi all,

Guess I might as well kick this thing off since nobody else has. I'll start with a few before-and-after shots of a building I picked up fully assembled for $15 at the Timonium Train Show a few weekends ago. I don't know who the manufacturer is, I thought it was a Cornerstone but I didn't see anything that looked like it in the Walthers catalog.

Anywhoo, the thing was totally unpainted, so I decorated it myself.

Good job on the rework Ken, looks much better!

Jeffery I like the framed picture, looks like your sneaking onto railroad property to take photos!

I managed to get the track work figured out for the new Fuerst Matthes Papermill, boy those Shinohara turnouts are tricky to wire. Also added a point derail on the mill lead.
This should keep the mill boys busy switching!

Ken, good job on the building. I believe it is made by life like now. I have the same one that was bought in the eighties. You did a much better job of painting it than I did! You can buy another version of it for pretty cheap.

Here is my version that I did before I learned patience with painting and weathering!:o I wasn't done with it before I dismantled the layout, but I may never use it on the new one.

Hi: Nice job on that building, Ken. It's amazing what a coat of paint and weathering can do.
Jeffrey, nice crane.
Rico, that scene is coming along, nicely.
Corey, some signs and people would make those buildings look great.

A through freight at yard speed.

Hey, nice to see that Grampy knows yard tracks should be at a lower level than the mainline--not many people bother to do that. But those turnouts, uh, highlight how well everything else is built.

Ken, nice remake on that old building. It was originally made by AHM and has had several incarnations from different companies, including Life-Like. I'll bet it's been issued in 25 variations, including a frat house and a fire station.

Jeffrey, nice perspective on your engine shop.

Rico, your trackwork looks way too complicated for me to ever get right.

Corey, those buildings ain't beauties now but, with a little clean up and repainting, they'd be just right for the seedy side of town.

Gramps, it really looks like a hotshot moving past the yard. I love those Pennsy F's with the Trainphone antennas.

Adam, that's a fine looking engine. Man, I wish I could talk the wife into a backyard layout. :D

Two GP40's waiting on a spur at Sundown for a fast freight to pass. Afterward they'll continue their trip back to Knutsville to pick up a new train.

Nice work so far guys! I'll try to get some photos up Monday, working on soldering track togeather right now...

Nice angle. I just picked up a pair of Atlas Gold GP40's that will be broken in this weekend. I plan to consist them with an Atlas B23-7 I have.

Nice stuff, fellas. It is always a pleasure to see your work and images. :)

Here is this week's submission:

The two GP40's in my photo both have 70's era Atlas drives. The Rio Grande is all Atlas and the UP one is wearing a 2008 Bachmann shell. Both are DCC (Digitrax DZ125's).

Crandell, nice to see you're still using correct power in your photos. :) Who made the UP wood caboose?

Jeffrey, nice lighting on your engines.

Looks great this weekend everybody. No pics from me, as of tommorrow the house is up for sale. Just when I had a track plan I liked =). I'm not too upset, how could you when you just see your town up in smoke, fire, and set to music for 30 minutes. (I just got back from Thunder Over Louisville) =)

Our first ever attempt at scenery, still a lot of detail stuff to add of course. Hopefully we will have another section done for next weeks photo.
