Huh, never tried that with my models...(don't do many closeups). Good to know...almost never whip out the "ol'" digital Nikon anymore anyways, so... Separate question..did the pits inside come as part of the roundhouse (Scale Model Masterpiece...I think my kits are those (may diff color?), but same maker methinks) kits...haven't opened my boxes....sitting in storage for a decade plus...Might be time to dig them out ;)
 
Cool...bought some of those years ago just in case, so...found out mine is Scale Structures, so not the same... amazing project you have done. Are you going to motorize, hand crank or hand align the pit? NVM...i saw an earlier post haha.
