Turntable & Roundhouse diorama

[RE#1]

Starting a diorama which will have a brick three stall engine house and turntable. Started priming 90 foot turntable offered by Walthers. I looked at other turntables but excluded them either due to price or not depicting North America. The engine house is a kit made by Model Masterpieces.

No problem mate - I was half kidding around to be honest but did think you were also scratch building yours

Weathered pit, painted each tie individually, added dirt to pit and painted lower portion of bridge. Let dirt dry overnight. Tomorrow I will begin painting the deck.

@RE#1 , you are going to quick, how did you do that earth bottom? Is that real mud you used ?

Be real careful with the ring where the gear rides on, just have to make sure if you get any material in the ring that you pick it out and vacuum real good.

The photos you are referring to were taken after the glue/water mixture was applied so it looked like mud. The additional pics show what it looks like when dried.

This kit isn’t particularly made well but this is a static diorama so the bridge will not be motorized.
