Show off your favorite Locomotive

ModelRailroadForums.com is a free Model Railroad Discussion Forum and photo gallery. We cover all scales and sizes of model railroads. Online since 2002, it's one of the oldest and largest model railroad forums on the web. Whether you're a master model railroader or just getting started, you'll find something of interest here.

These are two of my favorites. The first is my Model Engineering Works Colorado Midland class 93 ten-wheeler, painted and lettered as CM 25. This engine is quite special to me as it's the very first brass engine I ever acquired, and it came from a friend. The figures in front of it are supposed to be me, and my German Shepherd. The second one is a Trains Inc. D&RGW C-48 class 2-8-0. It has a can motor, LED headlight, and it's one of my best pullers.

For these favorite locomotive threads, I’m not sure I’ve ever picked the same one twice. This is an old Atlas C30-7 with a new cab and truck sideframes. In the prototype photos, the paint was only peeling on this side and the top. The number is a story all by itself but I’ve shared it here before.
