I have not posted today - we had a 61 degree high and P/C sky.

I have been reading everything all along! Although it comes with the territory, I really don't like sadness and sickness this time of year.

CURT - Best wishes and prayers for your Mom. I'll include your Dad as well - and your entire family!
PATRICK - Same above for you and your family. Just be careful on the road.

TROY -- Any Chile left?

Wednesday I placed a call to Model Train Stuff as I had ordered a #4 turnout. Normally I get a shipped notice 2 days after the order. Wed. was 5 days so I called. They are 10 days behind on shipping. Apparently a lot of orders and Covid-19 regs in Maryland have them bogged down.

Good morning everyone,
Fresh coffee is brewing here, everyone is welcome ! I will pour the a cup for you any time, give it a Lysol wipe and we can sit at least 10 feet apart. I am higher risk so will be increasing the distance, subconsciously, I think that is why my layout is 10 feet across.
Troy, do you have picnic tables for that great looking chili? Yours looks delicious! The last batch I made in a slow cooker turned to mush, my hunting buddies and I thought it was gross.....lol, we dumped it in the woods for the coyotes.....lol

Good Morning All. Clear and 36° here, only going up to 55° today. A week of cooler weather in store with rain tomorrow before it gets back into the mid-60's by Friday. Rain yesterday was only .15", only enough to moisten everything. I miss the warm days and the daily dips in the swimming pool every afternoon.

Nothing adventurous today Flo, just a handful of bacon and two over-easy eggs.

Thanks to all who commented on or liked my post yesterday; Joe, Rick, Sherrel, Phil, Walt, Garry, Tom O, James, Dave, Gary, Chad, Tom, Hughie, Curt, Ken, Luke.

Yesterday out in the train shed, I sat at the workbench long enough to finish (?) the mobile home. Finished up the trim on the remaining windows, touched up all of the body paint, and installed the window acetate and venetian blinds.

Oooops! looks like I have forgotten to install the propane tanks. I have a canopy and support poles as well, but I will not install them until I plant the structure on site. I know where it's going, but the site prep will not be done until after the holidays. It's a bigger project than just ground cover etc, I want to paint and ballast the main line immediately behind it before the trailer gets in the way.
Let's revisit the Saw Pit Store. It's a laser-cut wood structure from JL Innovative Designs.

Lots of action here.
Adjacent to it (and part of the kit) is the local "shade tree mechanic".

Guy - Cardstock structures are not too bad for me at least. All of mine are set back on the layout and they offer a variety from all of the usual plastic structures from major manufacturers. With my medium sized layout (two levels at 640 ft² each), I need a large variety of structures.
Regarding the curtains in the Pizzeria, I cannot take credit for them. That structure is a "pre-built" one that I received as a Christmas gift from my daughter last year. I only added the sidewalk so far.
I am liking your truck.
Troy - What the heck is in that chili? It does look good. While I make mine with meat, onions, various peppers and diced tomatoes; in competitive chili cook-offs in Texas, the only solids allowed are meat. All spices and condiments must be ground...not to my liking. I also don't use beans.
Walt - I agree, who says chili is not for breakfast?
Hughie - Wow! you're looking at a lot of action in a small space. I like the tug and barge as well.

Wish that I could comment on politics here. It's interesting out there right now, but it's mostly depressing. Nothing is getting done.
Prayers and good thoughts go out to all who have family illnesses or personal illnesses right now. The holiday season is not a good time to be dealing with them.
Everybody have a great day and an awesome weekend.

Good morning....Another day in the train room. Got an assembly line of weathering stages setup. We're back to split shifts,on 5 off 5 so they can sanitize the shop between shits. Our county has seen a big spike and with only 8 guys in the shop the whole town would be without services and road snow plowing if we all had to quarantine.

Good morning gang
Just popping in, expecting a gentleman from a roofing co here in a bit to discuss replacing the roof. That last windstorm broke a few shingles, so we bettwr get prepared ti replace it before it leaks.
And on a smartphone, I don't see anyone's Sig. I'll have to look again after I get on the PC later.

Morning!
This is a reverse effect morning! Starting out at 22° and cooling off down to 4° come the end of the day. We will be going into the freezer for a few days.
I'm hoping it gets cold enough to kill that virus and the spruce bug both at the same time. We need 3-weeks of minus 40 to put things back to normal. Hope we get it while everything is in lockdown, anyway.

Nothing much going on today; can't go fishing in the wind when it's this cold. May as well sit back and sip a warm coffee. Maybe I'll have 2-eggs overeasy with bacon strips and toast. Keep it easy, and just relax.

I suppose this will be 'straighten out the paint-work day' on my two projects:

I'll fix the paint before I move on with trying to make curtains for the Cafe'. I have a couple of ideas that I want to try out for the curtains; not sure if either idea will work. Nothing like trying, though. - If I have any success, you will be seeing it in the coffee shop over the coming days.

That's all for now; except for the big thank-you for reading my trivia; and an even bigger thank-you for posting you're interesting news and photos.

Have a great day, everyone!

Good morning ......

Curt ..... Continued prayers for your Mom.

Patrick .... Praying for you family as well.

Greg and Curt ..... Thanks for commenting about my large grain elevator. Everybody, thanks for the likes!

Greg ..... That is a very nice scene with the tunnel portal.

Hughie .... Your layout looks like it will be a lot of fun. I, too, like the barge and tug.

Willie ..... You certainly are talented. The trailer is looking great so far, and I like the store and Mobile service station.

Guy ..... The van and building look good so far.

Everybody ........ Have a good day.

Good very white and windy So. Central Wisconsin morning. We might have 5” of white stuff on the ground or 9”. With the winds blowing at 15 and gusting to 35 we may never know, but it is a lot. The beauitful weather lady at WkowTV up in Madison is not an alarmist. Says though the 5” is official at the airport about 15 miles north of us and a little further south has got 9.

The pictures are great this morning and basically every time I stop in.

Illness and the virus per my lab tech yesterday are driving the local medical folks crazy. She said everyone is working so hard and then they see people yelling at the grocery store it’s a hoax as they are escorted out. That story seems to be increasing around here. My best wishes and hopes for Curt, Patrick and any other member whose family is in peril from any health issue.

I did my 30 minutes at 4 mph at a 2% incline on the treadmill this morning. The before dinner treadmill at 6-6:30 today is cancelled as I don’t want to do it today and I have 5-9” of white stuff that has to be removed within 24 hours of the storm ending. The beautiful lady says the winds should diminish around 4 and the snow around 6. Actually, the plows went through at 4am and now won’t be back until the storm is over, that is when I will blow the white stuff away. I would love to be able to blow what the plow puts on my driveway back in the street but it is illegal and they do issue the fines here.

I will find time for the workbench. Enjoy the day. TomO

As ornery as folks tend to be here in Texas, mask wearing and social distancing are pretty nearly 100% here in North Central Texas. Hoax or no hoax, mask is uncomfortable and it creases my beard, but I am not taking chances of being infected if it reduces my chances even by a little bit. My niece died recently after her partner didn't wear a mask on a hunting trip with a buddy who had the China Virus. That was no hoax.

Afternoon All,

Went down this morning and picked up the track from my buddy. There is 7 full pieces of Code 83 flex track and 20 pieces of code 100. I put a notice on Craig's list and gave it to another modeler. I'll try to get back to the layout tomorrow. It's been about 5 days now. Going to watch the Army/Navy game at 3:30.

Thanks again for the well wishes for my Mom.

Willie- Sorry for the loss of your niece. Nice looking buildings. How did you make the venetian blinds?

Guy- Nice looking building.

Tom- Nice job on the tanks. Twelve would sure be tedious.

Sherrel- Great Christmas train.

I hope everyone has a good night.
