In some cases the answer is yes, and that includes PM's as well. However replies quoted by others in their posts seem to remain. It looks like when someone leaves the forum their posts disappear? Am I seeing that correctly?
This is just a quick update on what I mentioned yesterday about possibly swapping out the narrow+tall gray building with a DPM 'homegrown' brick warehouse. I recovered it from the attic, did a mock-up test fit, and voila - it fit perfectly, as if it had been intended for that spot all along.
Well, after buying the new laptop, I grudgingly took my 12 year old desktop from Windows 7 to 10. When you have the right programs, the free upgrade still works. I'm losing a lot of games on CD that won't work under Windows 10, but worked under Windows 7 when a particular patch update was removed. I'd been putting it off, but the son reminded me that he still had his XP desktop that wasn't connecting to anything and would still run those games.
Can you run a VM of some sort with an older Windows in it for the games?
This Ben Franklin used to carry model railroading supplies, but I haven't been there in years. I remember all the BB kits in a display case.on the way home from State Fair Park. MOH/chauffeur wanted to stop at the Ben Franklin in Oconomowoc (she wanted an excuse to head west & avoid traffic heading north
There was a line from Groucho Marx, "I shot an elephant in my pajamas, how he got in my pajamas I don't know".That's like the sign we have in our supermarkets, where cigarettes etc are only sold at the service desk. "No smoking products will be sold to anyone under the age of 18". So don't ask for a toasted sandwich.
Cool! They should have a flying cow going around that tornado lol
Patrick -- Have you checked Steam and GOG for these older games. I bought Age of Empires 2 and Age of Mythology remastered on Steam during the holiday sale last year. I was able to get Warcraft 1 and 2 on GOG for $6 about a month ago. Each site has a wish list option, I get notified when any wish listed games go on sale.
No as these particular games require access to the CD drives and the "fix" in Windows 7 killed them about 5 years ago.
PC World Safedisc DRM
Many of these PC games are still darn right fun to play (Age of Empires series, Sierra's Roger Wilco series, etc.)
Good morning. A better start to the day today. First off, I don;t have to leave the house. Started off at 37 degrees at 0500 and should get up into the mid 40's with cloudy skies.
Curt - Like the photos of the fueling facility. You really do such a nice job
weathering the platforms.
Terry - Ain't that just about right. Another manufacturer not willing to back up their product. Hope you can find the parts.
Joe - I forgot to comment on your port scene. Live it. I would have liked to have been able to model such a facility being ex Navy, but with the room I had to work with chose to model the area where we live. Waiting for more photos as you progress with the build.
Greg - Nice photos. I do not run trains in total darkness with the town lit. I wouldn't be able to see the trains. Just the town area of Logan is lit along with a few buildings in Churchill.
Lee - That was nice of you to offer to take care of the body on Willie's layout.
Mikey - Thanks for the comment. I do like that Suudebaker. It is a '53 Starlight. I had been looking for a real one for years to restore into a custom. I think it was the best looking car of that era, although way ahead of the times. I currently own a '62 Gran Trismo Hawk with the R-4 package, with the Paxton Supercharger and 4 speed manual. Currently put away in the shop for the winter. Here's a photo I took years ago. Interesting tire ad. Prices have changed. When my wife had a tire fail it was time to replace them. I was looking for a good all season radial for her car and needed it NOW. Ended up the only ones I could find in stock were Nokian tires. Best rating in the industry but $638 with discount. They are fantastic on winter roads.

IBKen - I found hydrocal at a building supply outlet meant more for the professional trades. You might check around your area. You have a better chance that I do up here. Like the photos.
Johnny - The build is moving along nicely. On the weather, we had the coldest October in history up here.
Guess I'll have to dive into the photo archives again. Haven't been down in the train room since last week.
