Going back on the road next week, probably 3/21/2022 ( Monday ) and will take pix with me and post when I can from my laptop. Internet speed and availability will probably come into play. There are 7500 pix of which *most* are good enough for public consumption.
This one is the Essex yard looking West from the people bridge - 3/16/2011
Not railroad, but my ride for quite a few years. Has 350,000 miles on it now! Taken 3/3/2011
Another East Libby - taken 7/11/2012
West of West Ripley - taken 7/21/2012
Believe this was taken in Marshall, Wa 2/16/2011
Just West of Java, date unknown; probably 2012
Ya, I know winter is over; but - unknown date; probalby 2012 believe location is Skykomish

War Bonnet not on front but hay! West portal of Cascade Tunnel 9/6/2010
Then again in Skykomish - same date.
The following are from Wishram, WA sometime after 2000. Pix with Mavica - so low resolution and not big size wise. Mavica's ...um... film was a 1.44M floppy. Took my squeeze there on our 1st date; she is now wife.
Still BN, not BNSF yet.
UP is just across the river.
Couple mo - East Scenic ( Cascade Tunnel ) date guess: 2008
East Portal ( West Berne ) , 20 minutes later than the above.
And one more, West of Wenatchee about 60 mins later.
Sittn in Olive Branch, Ms - no trains to be seen - so a few from the old pix. Now, if you want truck pix, that I can do!
Heading into W. Troy on the main.
Coming out of Kootenai Falls headed East
West bound into East Kootenai Falls
Chris wants more hobby time!!!
I like the puddles, am gonna do a few on my layout in low spots, think it adds a bit of realism…

Near Memphis - 70F and windy. Back to Olive Branch tomorra.
Here is one from East Twin Meadows 09/13/2012
Still near Memphis, 64F and should be rainy and cooler.
Here are a couple from Parkwater, in Spokane. These were shot with a Mavica so guessing the date prior to 2004.
Have fun!
East of Libby heading West 03/2007ish
Just West of Libby station, Mavica so about 2004
See that I have not given ya pix for a few days. Oops!
Chemical film, 1990 - 1996 probably. East portal Cascade Tunnel.
Nother chemical - just West of West Berne. Probably close to the date above. Note that this is half of the Empire Builder. Meets its other half in Spokane bout 0100 which comes in from Portland.
Been awhile. This is 06/02/2016 East of I5 at a Oregon plywood plant we used to pick up at.
And 07/04/2017 not sure where it was taken. I suspect that it is East Boyer ( B4 they double tracked it ).

Hauser Junction, East of Spokane just before the fueling facility. 2005 probably.
Crossover West of Cocolalla, ID 2010ish
This is one of the cabins you can stay in - Essex MT 2009
Todd excellent pictures. Not sure how I missed this before but found it now. The thing about prototype pictures is how much as a modeler one can pull from. The background scenery, the ballast, the trackside details all are items we as modelers need to create. Thanks for sharing

Great pics here, and thanks for sharing. I particularly like overcast winter shots (no...really? Why?), and that cabin 441 is just brilliant. It's wearing my favorite Great Northern paint scheme too!
Ok, so it is still raining and I donwanna go out in it. How about some for you UP guys and gals?
Napa Street, Spokane 4/2012
East Empire looking into Sunset Junction, Spokane pre 2004
Nother at Napa Street
