A new beginning inspired from my old Central Midland Layout

After a few suggestions, I did some work this weekend. First I decided to put a town Hall by the Gazebo and playground. The town Hall kit was not exactly what I wanted but I could not find anything else that I liked. It is a Lionel Ho Kit ( AKA Model power) and you have to work hard on these kits to make them look real. It came out pretty good. I will have to figure out its exact location then I can put a Parking lot there too.

Also, I ran a track and dead-ended it on both ends. It gives the look of the old siding they used to get the train to the museum. The Downtown Area is starting to really fill in. Enjoy the pictures and as always let me know your comments or suggestions.

Unusual to have a track dead-ended both ends, but I admit, it suits the layout, really like the weathering on the Town Hall especially the roof, have you thought about leaving it where it is, and perhaps move the gazebo, as the hall looks good on that intersection.

The dead end at both ends represents a dead track that was used to get the museum Locomotive there. Kind of wanted something to compliment the Gazebo. Had another style of building in mind but couldn't find what I wanted. Thanks for the comments.

Yeah it is but i did spray it with Dull coat, toned it down a bit. Not sure if I will keep it that color or not. Kinda growing me.
Isn't a Town Hall supposed to be the center of municipal democracy, it certainly looks like the center of attention to me.

Ok Opinion time again. I temporarily moved the town hall and gazebo around. I kind of like this placement. Let me know your thoughts. Yes or No?

I will have to go the other route. I like the gazebo away from the road. Also if anybody is playing in the park and needs access to bathroom or office, the building is much closer. If music is played in the gazebo, you don't want car noises to disturb the show. My suggestion is for the gazebo to be between the town hall and the tracks.
Now, rule #1, it's your railroad...lol

Thanks all for your comments. Today I did some more adjusting and this is what it is going to be. I moved the Town Hall back to where it was and the gazebo too. But I moved the Gazebo back from the road more and turned it around. Added some heavy trees and brush by it and along the tracks. A gravel lot is coming off of the asphalt lot. Gazebo is close enough to the ballpark that the parents can watch them. The Town Hall was always not my favorite choice for a town Hall but that is all I could find. I also have a row of bushes running along Hillside road.

All and all I am happy with it. Stuff needs to dry and I'll really detail it more.
