Inexperienced crew or they didn't read the instructions.

We had a new furnace and AC unit installed years ago and when it came time for heating it didn't work. I found a wire that apparently fell loose from a circuit board hanging in plain view, but I called the installing company anyway. The original Tech who installed the unit came and with minutes after he remove the funace's service cover he stated that the the power switch next to the furnace was in the off position. No mention of the loose wire that I found now reattached after he left.

Go figure.

Greg, understand your pain. Now they say the compressor won't be in until late today, installed tomorrow (Thursday).

Bob, they have a written guarantee that states if they don't fix it in the first 24 hours from the time you call in (that was 8:32am yesterday) they owe me $555

OAN - the "auto rotate" on the cell phone drives me over the wall; I keep it off unless I want to look at a pic that someone sends me.

Ok, HVAC problems are fixed. The one in the garage really cools off that room fast!! Some progress on sheetrock today. Got both end walls done.

Whenever my Dad would buy a car from a dealership, he would request they take their dealership sticker off the car. He would tell them, "If you treat me right, I'll do more advertising for you than that sticker ever can." I try to live by that philosophy, too.

The sheetrock is up. Will be waiting for the finishing crew to get here and tape and mud it all in. After 3 days of sheetrock, we are beat.

Ok, 2 updates:

The HVAC company gave me $555. AND added 1 more year to my free labor warranty.

The mudding/taping crew gets here tomorrow. I should be able to paint and trim the room out next week.
