On the layout
peco cheap…oops sorry modelscene
real reference various colours
the black cow best shows the light on the coat
close up with sone attempt to. Hide them in the scenery
generally putting 2 similar models is not a good idea although painted differently the stance still shouts clone/model but as they move back into the scenery they work better
I tell you now I painted those chickens in enamel and they do not look good close up,I keep meaning to repaint
the pair were bought ready painted by someone who hand painted them and did an admirable jug, left I went heavy dirt so they blend better especially at a distance or not quite in focus
yeah ok maybe over de focused lol
yet I still like this photo
ooh forgot to mention when painting cows udders paint them skin colour.
now on a decent bit of scenery they start to become part of a scenery
the plastercast rocks are awful, ripped out and replaced, but look at the whole picture, the cows are no longer the focus but they now enhance the rest of the area, a shame the metal birds do not have better detailing so I turned heads to make best of them, the birds also sit on the water not in the water and do not have proper flat bases I either need to add a little more varnish just where the birds are and/or file the bids bases flat so they seem to be in the water not on it.
For every little shouts model you address the better it gets, and you do not need to do all the kayout I have a karge kayout in various levels with small areas that I have concentrated on because I have the detail to do so,and in my opinion a train does noy]t need to be in every picture, because in. Real life they aren’t. this helps the kayout when your stood near it look more realistic
