Good Morning All. Partly cloudy and a warm 75°. Expected high today is mid-90's, but it didn't make that yesterday, only 90°. I don't expect to see temperatures below 70° for the next three months. No rain in sight for the next ten days. Time for the summer doldrums.
Average Sunday yesterday; walk, shower, Mass, pick veggies, mow, lunch, nap, other outdoor tasks, mow again, pool time, train shed, pool again, supper. Today starts with emptying the dishwasher and doing laundry. Already went for a walk and waved at the neighbor lady drinking her coffee on the porch in her tee shirt and undies.
Another day, another visitor.
Thanks for the comments and likes regarding the houses shown yesterday;

I restarted the flatcar/tractor project yesterday out in the train shed. The Atlas flatcar that I am using does not have pre-drilled stake pockets like the older Roundhouse models do.
Had to drill my own. Here is the front end with chain tie-down.
Then I got the rear ones done.
Next is to get the other two smaller tractors mounted.
Steve J - Continued best wishes on your recovery. Don't overdo it yet.
Troy - We have found that our air fryer is quite useful for cooking things normally cooked in the oven. Small batch stuff mainly in the summer when the oven unnecessarily heats up the kitchen. Ours takes less time for reheating bread, frozen onion rings and some other pre-prepared stuff. My wife uses it as well to make appetizers like stuffed mushrooms and stuffed jalapenos. Reheating take out pizza is also convenient. Better than the microwave.
OB Ken - Gravel roads. I live on a corner and there is a county road on one side, the other is our private road that provides easement to several properties to the west. For 20 years when we first moved here, the county road was still gravel. Whenever they graded it, the grader driver would grade our private road as well, mainly because they usually weren't aware that it was private. They finally sorta paved the county road in 2001, but as a result, the grader no longer came out our way and our private easement road began to deteriorate badly. It didn't matter to me much as I only use the last 200', but the neighbors up the road really suffered. Finally in 2016, there was a transformer fire that spread out on the ground from the sparks, and one of the VFD trucks was damaged going up there. The VFD took the county road commissioner to court to require him to fix the road and I watched as they brought ten 18-wheelers of gravel in and repaired it.
Curt - I actually don't mind doing ground cover. I do mind when I accidentally stick my elbow in it while wet and have to do it over!
Joe - Have a safe trip home today.
Mike - My wife always gets the pat-down at airports due to her knee replacements. The newer scanners can only detect metal, not see inside your body. This is because of privacy concerns with the original ones.
Today is of course D-Day. I no longer know anyone who was actually there, but I will toast them all anyway.
Everybody have a great day.
