Went to see the foot doc this morning so he could poke and prod my feet some more. They're about the same as they were the last time. I left from there and to pick up my lunch at Burger King then came back to my parent's home and made lunch for my mother Then I ate my lunch as I typed out this post. As you can see there's not a lot going on in my world today.

....How would you stop something that can swim in from offshore or for that matter fly in.
With few exceptions, species other than human that flys in, are not considered nonindigenous to the US or N. America. The human one that walks-in are prohibited by existing but unenforced laws.

I hardly think the walking catfish walked in from Southeast Asia or the Asian Carp swam in; neither did the python slither into the Everglades all the way from Burma. Oh yeah, don't forget the wonderful plans for Kudzu or those hunters that thought it would be challenging to introduce a hybrid from the dangerous Russian Boar. How about the occasional catch by a fisherman of a Piranha...swam all the way from the tribs of the Amazon. Many countries ban species that could prove harmful to their local environment, regardless of any good intentions. No, most nonindigenous species have been introduced into our environment by man, hitching a ride on a boat or plane, or by release of captive species.

As much as many bemoan Zebra mussels, those little critters helped to clean up Lake Erie by filtering out the "fog" and much of the pollution.

The people that release these critters are the ones to be punished. And the pet shops that indiscriminately sell such animals should be closed down. It's not the animals fault. But, I hear python and boa are good eatin'. I know rattlesnake is tasty.

As Fer banning animals, I say, "NUTS!":p your going to have to ban the two legged anumals first;)! I've yet to see a python Car jack some one at gun point and sue a fast food joint fer not having fries...... According to the Tree huggers the Earth is going to going Down, Down, Down into a ring-O-Fire anyways, so I say, "Let um' stay The snow down here's is going to kill them anyways:D!" and anyways I'm sure theres a tasty way to cook a python!:p:D:);)

Besides, I've got tomorrow OFF!!!!:D:D:D

So there-----:eek::D:D:D

My mother finally tired herself out around 4 pm. She has these exercises she has to do to build up her upper body strength so she can stand up unaided. She's getting there but still has a ways to go. She finally went to bed at about 5pm. I stuck around a bit to help my father with the groceries when he came in plus I had two loads of my mother's laundry going. My father was worn out from work so he headed right for his bed while I put the groceries away. I went to Wal-Mart a little later to get a 5-pack of T-shirts and a quart of transmission oil for the car. That's been about all for my day today. Oh yeah, I also pumped about a 1,000 gallons of water from the well to the pool to replace what's evaporated over the past week when we had those really hot days.

You people talk about work. What's that? Seems like a dirty thing to me being as it's a 4 letter word. I've had employment before but what's this work thing. BTW, employment is something I can't get paid for anymore due to the fact that I'm retired due to medical reasons. So I guess I'm off too, so there.

Good morning all from Ye Olde London Towne

Its Friday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Phil: the caffeine iv is for me please, and make it a double.

I'm jealous of all with holiday time. Still catching up from the last 2 years. I've got half a day left until Christmas.

Take care all and have a great weekend. I'm going to be busy with the honey-do list from hell.

GOOD MORNING!!!

AH!! Now that I woke everybody up we have fog and this will clear up to some sun--this will then mix with a few cloudy periods, which will eventually dump some more rain on our heads, with the li'l ol' t'underin' boomer thrown in tonight. Tomorrow we'll have more rain, and then, it'll be sunny on Sunday-----just in time for me to mow the lawn ag'in!!:rolleyes::rolleyes:

So have a good one people!!

Good morning.

Yesterday was extremely uneventful, in fact it was downright boring. I did get some time last night though to finish up the freight station and set it on the layout. I still need to finish the Corner Diner and get it into it's place.

Mornin' guys, wow no wonder its so busy around here, no one is working anymore!:D Except for Flo, she's busting her butt running around here serving you guys coffee and hooking up caffeine IV's!:D

Well it sounds like everyone is doing well around here. Jeff Happy Belated Birthday!:D Hope you had a good one!

I have been busy with work again, looks like we might start slowing down sometime next week and then be smooth sailing into the fall.

as you guys know my daughter was married off a couple of weeks ago so she has moved out and taken some of her stuff out of my basement. Well my son is getting married in January and him and his fiancé have been looking for a house. They found one the other day and made an offer, the owners accepted their offer. Soooo, that mean more stuff out of my basement and a lot more room for my new hobby!!!:D Of course I will have to help him move all of his workout equipment out of my basement, but once it is done it will be worth it.

I have already started to plan the bench work even though I will most likely not get to start until the middle of August or possibly the middle of September. But, I am getting excited about having some space I can actually use to build a large layout and really start playing with some trains!!!:D:D

Well, I will catch up with you guys later...:D:D:D

Good morning folks.

Tony, congratulations on the soon to be acquired real estate! I'm sure it's mixed emotions having the kids move out and on with their lives.

Not much going on around here. I've had a few really busy days at work, so no modeling when I get home. I've also been waiting for some of the painted structures to dry a little better before I handle them. I need to add a roof to my DPM Hotel as well as windows and window coverings. I've yet to decide whether I will paint each window frame different than the surrounding walls. The prototype had pretty much all one color, so I may leave it alone. It would certainly be easier than painting all of the windows on two M.T. Arms kit bashed into one!

I also bought some foam core board to try my hand at scratch building part of my mill. The section I need is a big, boring building with no windows. I figured, rather than look for a kit, I would try to make it myself. If it doesn't turn out, I'm out like four dollars! We'll see how that goes.:)

I'm off to work. I hope you all have a great day!

BOC - If I took a month off I probably wouldn't go back! Shoot, they'd have to replace me! The last time I took a whole week at once was.....ummm......2004 I think? I've taken a day or two at a time, but a whole week at once is a lot for me.

Tony - Congrats on your RR's new land! Planning is half the fun. If you want some help with that, let me know. I enjoy the planning part quite a bit.

In my case I ended up kinda building on the time off so that Audrey and I can actually go to 'Oxtongue Lake' and see some friends up there for a couple of weeks. I have not been able to actually go there for awhile so that oughta be fun!

Tony I agree with Phil here. Have fun!!;);)
