So the part about that thing being made of lips and a-holes... haha

SKIP THE NEXT PART IF SQUEAMISH

A friend of mine said that he once worked in a butcher shop and was so grossed out by what he saw, he stopped eating meat for a long time. Those animals do get cancer and I will stop here.
The USDA inspectors watch everything from guiding the hogs from the pens to the kill room, to the kill process, to the dressing of the hog. They watch it live and it's being video recorded. They inspect every animals entrails for disease before stamping the carcass for further processing.

So, a friend of mine was on Survivor... in the season with the pirate theme, back in the early naughties... (He stole the shoes)...

He said that after he got back from the second season he was on, he and his family took a trip to an aquarium. His daughter (pre-teen at the time) kept asking about the fish he caught on the show to feed the tribe. So he found the right aquarium display and started telling her which fish tasted best, and so on... quite a few people recognized him and started hanging around to listen.

The aquarium staff had to ask him to move on to "keep the aisles clear"... ;)

Never mind that the fish in question were hundred dollars or more to acquire in some cases...

Good evening all!

Trees are trimmed, trailer is loaded with yard waste ready for a run to the landfill in the morning, then to TSC for a new wheel barrow tire.
#4 son's birthday is tomorrow(22) so wife is meeting him at his college and taking him out to breakfast. He was home last weekend so we did a little family thing then.
After she returns we are taking the pups out for a little socialization and car ride experience. The Border Collie loves car rides, but gets overly excited. The little dog gets scared and cowers down on the seat as soon as we start the engine. I'm going to try to get them to a point where they behave more like my old Doberman Bud. He would sit nicely while the car was in motion, and would only move about in the car when it was stopped.
Then there is a trip to Hobby Lobby later. ;)

A few years ago the local waters around here started seeing an invasive species of fish known as the Northern Snakehead. Quite the aquatic pest, they would gorge on freshwater or brackish water fry, or junior fish, they could survive out of the water for extended periods, just little ghouls! The year after they were 1st noticed when you renewed you fishing license you were also informed to not catch and release snakeheads. We we instructed to KILL any snakeheads that were caught. Fast forward a few years and people have discovered that Snakeheads were delicious. Now the same fish is $18.00 a pound at Wegman's. (High end grocery store) It is said to be a white fish, but a more meaty flesh like Salmon, not flaky like Cod.

Good evening all. Worked today at the gunstore and we were busy! Hit 92 but about 530 PM a thunderstorm rolled in hard. I barely made it home before the bottom dropped out, but our g'niece, who works in town got off at 6PM and called asking to come here instead of trying to get to her house [farther away with bad roads]. So she made it here, we had pizza that LadyC made using a new crust recipe [really turned out well] and the temperature is now 66!

Good evening. It's 78 and mostly clear.
I've managed to get most of my stuff shifted over to the new place. Tomorrow some friends are coming over to help with the computer desk, layout, dishwasher, and some odds and ends. At that point I'll transfer my flag to the new place. I've arranged to have the trailer moved to a storage facility that's near the new place. I paid for three months' storage, after which time it'll become the son's responsibility again.

I have been out of town for the last 2 days as my wife took care of some business for her mother's estate.
When I got back tonight, I was 8 pages behind on reading the forum. This certainly is a prolific bunch of people.

I got caught in a fib today. My wife was visiting with a friend when I got one of those scam call wanting me to learn about the latest Medicare plans for seniors. I told the caller that I was too young for Medicare as I am only 59 . The friend looked at me as I hung up my phone. The friend said I was fibbing as my wife had just told her we would be married for 59 years come January! I just grinned.

Sorry if I come across poorly. I do try to keep things light (no pun intended).
You are fine, I enjoy your posts. I just can't help ribbing people I like. 😁 Which could be considered a baseball thing. You have become a vital part of our community. Not only with your posts, your craftsmanship and knowledge seal the deal.
I don't know who Cujo is, but I guess it's not the dog! haha
When I look at your name (Kusojijc) I think Cujo, nothing to do with you being anything like the dog. When you or anyone begins to understand how my mind works then it is time to worry.

NOT ENOUGH SPORTS ON!! heck even the sports video games ain't cutting it today lol
Sunday is coming my friend.

I still occasionally play MLB The Show and Madden with my grandson. He kicks my 🫏 but I don't give up! I can still keep a baseball game close. The last time I played baseball online the kid said, "why don't you throw strikes?" I told him "Why should I? you swing at balls"
either that or because you have to have a freaking subscription to get the ones you wanna watch. I'm on that free ota TV and where I'm at I get white Sox but not my cubs or my cards!!!
The White Sox have been fun to watch; they are much improved.

In my opinion MLB is greedy and stupid not to have more free games on national broadcast TV.

I get MLB.TV free through my T-Mobile account. I need the phone, and the baseball is a bonus!

From a review of local restaurant.
The left coast is a strange place to me.

In Hungary they eat all kinds of... stuff, yeah that's the word. Chicken feet for example. I couldn't tell you all the varieties of sausages they make, blood sausage included. They don't waste anything, I admire that, but I aint eating it!
They started you off with a shot of sake for some reason.
Many cultures do that. In Hungary they start dinner with a shot of Palinka. I'm told my German grandfather began with schnaps. Supposedly it is good for digestion. Probably because they eat weird... stuff!

Ah, got it! Appreciate the vote of confidence! I like to share my projects and hopefully something can be gleaned from it.

Nothing like a shot of whiskey to whet a man's appetite!

They eat fish displayed on the plate (not centre table, your plate) with the tail threaded through the gills, so it looks like a large bracelet
Chicken feet seen them eaten the stew not eaten the feet I understand they are soft and tasty and very healthy, I chew on bones pork bones chicken thighs but I like to put my bones back down on the plate
They do desserts delicious looking cakes that easily rival the French piled with cream and fresh fruit or jams and chocolate, Devine cherry brandy chocolates and tasty sweet sugared plums
Their goulash is d e v I n e if making a stew try paprika and a hint of caraway to will be amazed at the lift it gives, thickened with tomato paste, peppers, garlic, smoked paprika if you can get eat, I would recommend a ration 1 quarter smoked and 3/4 normal parsley recently discussed is popular, and bread with caraway seed dribbles

Well howdy there internet peeps and those looking for a place to you plant your flags

It's Troy again

Funny thing. I've had sore jaw for the last day. Finally checked Weather Underground

Right above the blue line to the right, you'll see Fort Wayne. I live to the left side of the orange circle of the beltway. The stationary front to the north was parked right over my condo yesterday.

The jaw ache feels like a toothache in one of two teeth that had root canals. Upper and lower molars on the same side of my head.

Had the dentist all worried, lots of xrays and such a few years ago, and they diagnosed a similar bout to sinus pressure on a nerve running through the jaw. It ends up aching at the old connection points to the former tooth nerves.

Hopefully with the cold front moving down, the pressure will stabilize and I'll get some relief today.

It's Johnny Appleseed Festival day... wife decided on food trucks. so I'll pack the hand sanitizer.
