Who likes Chinese but thinks it is expensive
100g long grain rice per person, wash put in pan, cover with water and boil, if necessary as water dries test taste if it is chewy add more carry on until cooked. Sit on one side.
Mean time chop onion garlic, and add 25g of sesame oil to a frying pan fry gently, other veg optional peas or sone frozen stir fry, baby sweet corn, beans;routs water chestnut, 10g cashews each person, once onions start browning add other veg
Mix one egg per person in a bowl add nothing, once onions etc mostly cooked push to one side check enough oil and add egg, once mostly cooked stir the egg once cooked thru mix with veg pushed to one side
Now add rice and mix, test taste if sesame oil not detectable add 12g per person more I would avoid an oily finish
Once played and test tasted addlight soy and/or dark soy to taste avoid too much
Light soy saltier in my opnion, dark soy a touch strong but covers any lack or slight 🔥 burning - best avoided
You can serve by itself or a side dish meat or you could add chicken at the fried onion stage, smaller meat = less loss of sesame oil during cooking
Yum yum, yes I know I added photo recently it tastes scrumpy and I keep getting repeat orders, plus I now have frozen peas look much nicer and sone stir fry and sone cashews - you have to watch straw forks stealing your cashews!!!

FYI I had lamb kebab balls and chicken kebab as the side - it was requested, and was surpringly not a bad mix. For uk diners I use colmans mix

As for sports... the wife told me the company sent out an email complimenting the Indianapolis office's men's Cricket Team on their eighth place finish in the City Wide league.

Not sure how many teams were in the league, so I'll take 8th as a good sign (for now)...

Fortunately, the first cozy mystery book I wrote focussed on discovering who killed the most Cricket of all British Cricketeers. He was rather grumpy about not being able to play any longer, but took to being a ghost right away.

So I could explain the very, very basics of the game to her. Such as when a pitcher bowls, the ball must bounce before reaching the wickets. After that, I'm still lost.

You should try the cricket ground that had a great big tree in it! I wonder how many rebounds occurred

Good afternoon all,

67 with off/on showers, sun.

Been working in the train shed, got all accessory lights hooked up, everything working! 9 lighted buildings, 17 street and other industrial overhead lights. I was able to use up all of my inventory, none defective either.

Currently tweaking the backdrop here and there.

Chinese food, usually a good value here, in my opinion. I am usually eating from the buffet.

I had a delicious Chana Masala at the Indian restaurant Thursday, Beth had a Paneer dish, not sure which one. That was at the India Palace in Duluth MN

No health issues to report, still above ground

Atlanta Braves 3 - Detroit Tigers 2 heading into the bottom of the 5th.

The Tigers went to their bullpen early, again. They have lost faith in their starting pitchers. With the Tigers 3W-7L in their last ten games it looks like panic is setting in!

The Tigers are currently in first place in the AL Central, but their lead is shrinking fast! The Cleveland Guardians have won 8 consecutive games and are now only 1.5 games behind.

I love this stuff!

Love Chinese food but not a Chinese buffet. We tried quite a few Chinese places after I retired and we moved down here. The best happens to be 1/2 mile away and the food is excellent. Found it during the Covid shut down and have stuck with them ever since.

We have the granddaughter here as the g/son stayed at home with his dad but was planning to hang with his buds. We did lunch at Culver’s and it was a typical stop at Culver’s. Very good!

The Wisconsin Badgers are getting whipped by Maryland FB team and I expect the coach to be fired this week. It’s hard not to see the thousands of empty seats on TV that 3 years ago were full. It’s the loss of money that will get this overpaid guy fired!

I'm the opposite. I like the buffet better. This way I can have all my favorite dishes. There is a place about 15 minutes away that has excellent
food and are busy so nothing on the buffet sits too long. It gets turned over quickly at peak times so its usually fresh.

Afternoon all,

Fired the lawn staff and had to do it myself. I was told I should be free to do my own mowing again in 3 weeks when I saw the Dr at 5 weeks post surgery. Besides, they had stuff they were doing for Scouts and school. When the SIL asked about them earning spending money, I said grandma would probably have some other work they could do, to which the grandson said he didn't want to scrub the bathroom.😂

I had never seen Uncle Roger before, but I do know Jamie Oliver was wrong.

I like the idea of the universe basically moving forward until it is stretched out like a rubber band then ding rebounding so we exist again in reverse, birth gets a little bit yuk at that point but to be fair it’s a bit yuk now.
Life is already at that point Jaz. We're born helpless with no hair or teeth. We can't walk or talk and have no control over bowel or bladder movements. Then towards the end, we lose our hair and teeth, can't walk, talk or see in some cases; and lose control of some bodily functions! Many become helpless again. Only difference is that we get put into a box instead of back inside...unless you come from a cannibal tribe.

From the previous chat about women remembering as you can see my brain is choker full of strange and unusual memories usually attached to emotion I wonder if that embeds it better?
Occasionally I remember far off memories that I have not thought of in decades…is this a dementia issue?!
I think the comments about women remembering was not general or misc knowledge. But specifically what their partner has or has not or did or did not do. 😂

Uncle Roger & Jamie Oliver video.😁

That’s the grand daddy of all Uncle Roger videos. (Not saying it’s the first but it’s one of the ones that made him famous).

You want to see a “wholesome” and inspiring / fun Uncle Roger video, find the one where he visits Cowboy Kent at his chuck wagon to make fried rice.

Edit: two versions

Plus Uncle Roger doing a critique of Cowboy Kent. The one that got them together.
