direct drive straight down a US highway
Better for wear and tear on the car with less stop and go. Just hope you don't get stuck behind someone that drives 40 in the 60.

I did that once on the freeway in Hawaii. Wasn't really paying attention to the speed but a truck blasted past me and blew his horn. That's when I woke up and waved at him for letting me know. Yeah, I know he wasn't just letting me know... :)

On a two lane highway with 10,000 cars on it at the same time, it doesn't matter, the heavy traffic effect will create massive stop and go.

We left the large town and cities behind us, now we just worry about being stuck behind a combine harvester because of its width, tractors usually give you as much room as they can and our locals know we give them right of way and act accordingly

On a different note I think my dog, I think she thinks my name is seymour

Oh no, something else I could add to the layout, i just need a Goldilocks pot to do it although I could make one from plastercine as I need that for the plant……hmmmmm plastercine hunt…..

Well, howdy there internet peeps and those wondering what Terry is going to listen to on his hour long commute? Nightwish? Pink Floyd? Yes? The Stones? Linda Rondstat?

It's Troy again.

Well, the daughter is unemployed. Seems she took a political stand at work after being confronted about being open on how the insurance company she handles calls for (Health insurance for travellers and immigrants) is sharing normally confidential info with the federal government - without the usual court order.

The boss tracked a bad review, mentioning that info, back to her (their customer calls are recorded). She told the boss: "The client asked, and I will not lie..."

Boss said: You have to. We can't tell people we give their info out...
So daughter gave her 2-week notice... and was told go home, we don't want you on the phones.

Are you firing me? ...
No, you'll get paid for the next two weeks.

So, her job search just after getting her medical coding certificate is now accelerated. But, she gets paid to do it.

Fortunately, one of my sisters is in Medical Coding. She's too far away to help her get in, but can help with the job search grapevine.

In other news, this is the weekend of the Johnny Appleseed festival here in the Fort. Parking is $8 at the Coliseum/arena next to the park with the festival. Bad news is they don't revenue share with the festival. Or we park at Purdue Fort Wayne's campus, and have to go under the 4-6 lanes of busy thoroughfare via tunnel. I didn't know that existed. Now I'm tempted to save the $8 just to see the tunnel under the highway.

Wife decided we should go, just to get out. We're undecided between eating at Cheddars' Scratch Kitchen on the way, or doing food truck food. I had said food trucks, but Cheddars might be safer. I doubt Ye Olde picnic tables are going to be wiped down very often at the festival. Looks like crafts being sold, along with trinkets, and decor stuff. Entertainment. And apples. Probably lots of apples.

In 1997 my wife Jane had a heart attack, and her doctor told her to retire from her job of being a nurse at Northern Westchester Hospital. I thought being I worked for the railroad at one time I would build a model railroad, and she could help out with the building. She painted stone by stone a look alike of our own church, Our Lady of the Lake. The first structure and still the center of the railroad. Swal

Good morning all!

Happy Friday!

Not as warm today as the past several days. Currently 59F heading up to a high of 83F. Maybe some rain later, but Im not counting on it.

Usual Friday chores today. Nothing big. Nothing else much going on in my world.

Volleyball last night was a fairly easy win, they looked good and strong!

Have a safe day everyone!

Good morning all. Some places had light rain overnight, but we did not get any. I need to cut a small patch of grass that has managed to survive with little water, but that'll take about ten minutes.

65°F/64°F this morning-dewpoint up a few degrees with the moisture around. Temp only to rise to 85°F today, so should be pleasant in spite of the dewpoint.

Good morning Crew from fogged in Wisconsin. 64f degrees now heading to 79. Like MIGALYTO (Mike) 100 miles south of me it will be cooler than it has been but at least he’s going to hit the 80’s. The rain that wasn’t coming even last night until Tuesday is now being guessed to arrive today! How can they be so far off?

Dinner for the anniversary was at the new to us supper club that followed the traditional Wisconsin Supper Clubs unwritten rules. Overly friendly, big alcoholic drinks, good steaks, lots of potatoes, endless parades of how r we doing, can we get you anything and of course the relish tray and massive desserts. We enjoyed it and we will go back but not wait as long as we did for trip #1. Once a year would be good. We have so many excellent choices though. Not quite off the beaten path but still what shocked me was how dark it was in rural Wisconsin. We have been in the Madison suburbs since 9/2014. I had forgotten what it’s like to drive on rural roads at night without the light pollution we have gotten so used to

2011 I had my thyroid removed for my 1st cancer operation. I started the thyroid replacement medicine and I do it when I wake up every morning. I have always taken it with a diet Dr Pepper or a diet Cherry Pepsi. So for 15 years I was informed yesterday I was taking it wrong. Based on a new study it should be taken with a full glass of water not my soda to get the full affect of the medicines. This came from a Doctor working with my Endocrinologist as a “Fellow”. Basically an Endocrinologist in training. Kind of shocked but said ok. So this morning it was do I grab a bottle of water instead of the DDP. Stubborn old me? I grabbed the water! We’ll see how long this lasts…

Be well

I guess the question is, has it been working? 15 years to me, says yes, but I wouldn't know what your blood work is looking like.
