Good evening gang!

Not much going on tonight. A couple of cold ones down trying to chase a head cold away. It might still be there but I don't really feel it. Heading to NC Friday morning for a weekend with the Gkids. Can't wait!

MyChart is nochart for me. Send me paper bills. You doctor types have screwed the pooch before and it tokk an act of congress to get it straightened out before. I want a paper trail, not just what you computer says! Remember, junk in, junk out!

1 year , 3 months and 20 days til retirement. Well it almost happened today. My co-workers don't deserve my ire. Neither do the customers, but the manufacturer and the corporate idiots in my own organization do! Need a transmission? 10-14 days to get one. Need a new radio/infotainment system? Been on backorder since June. Need an engine? 2-3 weeks before it arrives. Need a loaner car? Take a number.
It's not like any of these parts are coming from China. Most are from Lansing or Pontiac Michigan!
Just one question, WHY? Cuz Queen Mary want everyone to buy a new car! My next new car will say Toyota or Honda on it before it says GM . (or neutered form gm) I will keep my pre-Mary S-10. I can fix that!

Sorry I had to vent. More cough syrup please!! :D

Today I added some factory and warehouse lighted building to the project. The building are not fastened to the wall. Their held there by very strong ceramic magnets. There's 5 building in total. This way if there's any trouble in the future, I can just remove them. The project is a long way from getting done. Lots of details to be added in the weeks ahead. Swal

Good evening folks, Willie be safe. Been fighting some kind of bug since our return from Colorado. Lowgrade, just enough to drain you. Getting real tired of this.
I just had to change Doctors due to turning 65 and Insurance and we no longer have Mychart and I am thrilled! For every real message they had some kind of spam, trying to get you into a survey or test or something they could try to bill the insurance for. I hope our new Doctor will stay away from it.

I sent my new Kato ED16 back to Kato Japan and they replaced/installed the missing headlight runner. I shipped it on Oct 6, it got to them on the 7th, and I got it back today, the 8th. Wasn't expecting it to be that quick. I checked it and it works. Glad they supported.

Did my blood draw today and am not having any luck with those vampires. Me missed the first vein, did some hunting, quit and then missed the 2nd vein. He said that the vein rolled, but by my eyes, he missed be a mile. He then got it from the side. I now look like a junkie, actually worse than a junkie as it looks like it bled under the skin. I better steer clear of the cops for a while.

But, in his defense, it was freezing cold in the hospital. Everything had shrunk up and went into hiding. That, or I didn't have enough blood in my alcohol system.

Well howdy there internet shop dwellers and those dodging hurricanes...

It's Troy again.

Did some work on dismantling the layout yesterday. I wasn't sure if I was going to trash the center section and move the left peninsula toward the right end, or if I was keeping the middle and losing the left end. But, I knew I wanted the backdrop divider gone.

Pre-destruction:

So the bullnose is off, and I've removed the center divider except for one support:

As I dismantled and started looking at where the benchwork sections joined, I realized the easiest option was to leave the center section. I thought it was bolted onto a 2 ft wide section that ran left to right against the wall. NOPE. It's a complete section back to the wall. Hmmmmm....

Perhaps it's better to leave that, use the folded dogbone layout from the center and around to camera right. That gives me a 23 inch radius on the curve to the right end, and 24 inch on the now bare section. Having the peninsula in the middle of the room gives me access to both sides.

I can live with that. I'll just build some geographic features for scenery blocks to divide the peninsula's sight lines.

So, today will be unbolting that last support, then deconstructing the sections to the left. Eventually I'll cut more cross bracing for the peninsula. It was lacking in the last iteration and I really had to scab some foamboard in underneath to make it work.

Good morning from my place of employment, where the restrictions for access seem to have been eased somewhat. Everything still has to go through the company’s filters, then through the forum’s filters, then the verification has to go through the company’s filters again, which makes everything slow in the extreme. But it’s working. If I don’t mind dial-up access speeds. Several other places are still blocked, but our parts department is now able to access the places they need so they can order stuff so we can do our jobs.

Good morning all!

The nice fall like weather continues again today. Currently its 48F and the high is expected to hit 74F under mostly sunny skies. A few degrees
cooler than yesterday which hit 78F.

Usual stuff around the house this morning.

Not much else going on at the moment.

Have a safe day everyone!
