There is nothing wrong with frozen pies. My mom loved them, she wasn't much for baking or cooking at all. SHe did like to make brownies for her great grandson.

This is my idea of "homemade" pies

My wife bakes from scratch, but I cheat!

Windows 11 Pro updated a short while back and now I can't log in. When I try to log in it tells me that account is already being used. This is on my new HP laptop ( 8 months old ). All worked fine before the update. I have an older laptop running Linux as I wanted to "test drive" the Zorin 17 Pro package there. Zorin 18 Pro is now up and running and is just great. I have 2 desk top computers and the two laptops. I have a one year extension of Windows 10 on one desk top and I'll keep that until next October. I really don't care for Windows 11, Microsoft and all their "spyware" they have included in Win 11. I should be in control of my computer not Microsoft being in control of me and my info! That being said, I will most likely go to Zorin 18 on my other desk top and the new laptop. Problem solved.

On the NMRA...... I joined about 3 years ago, signing up at a train show. They were running a special 1st year discount so I figured it might come in handy for me trying to find other model railroaders in my area (west Texas). Well, one division said I belonged in an adjoining division and the other division said that I belonged to another division. One of the directors I contacted said he would get this worked out. I never heard another word and did not renew.
I think the only thing worth while the NMRA offers is insurance for layouts and setting some standards so manufacturers don't go rampant on decoder standards and such. As far as their "certification" program, I don't really need to jump through a bunch of hoops for a piece of paper to hang on the wall that tells me I know how to assemble a scratch built structure or wire my layout. My talents come from a much higher power than the NMRA so I don't need their approval.

Marlin39 posted : The movie "The Hunted", with Tommy Lee Jones and Benecio del Toro was filmed at the hydro plant below.
Thanks for the info. I just watched that movie last week. Always kinda neat to have some background on a good movie.

This is my Apple Pie GoTo : Hey........I'm a single guy.

Everyone have a great afternoon.........John

I hate to say this, but Windows has spyware installed back to Windows 7. That is, unless you used the registry fix that was published not long after it was released. It was released as a batch file that ran under the terminal with Admin privileges.

10 is the same way, but I don't know if the registry fix worked on 10 since I only used it long enough to upgrade to 11. As far as 11 goes, I have given up and have the system locked down as much as can on my end. I have not researched any fixes for Windows 11 telemetry, but the way they have updates configured, I don't know if there is any way to keep the computer from calling home to the the Mother Ship. And I don't mean Mother Märklin.

I use Winaero Tweaker, and Revo Uninstaller.

those actually aren't all that bad!

Remember when TV dinners had the desert? That was our favorite as kids. Don't know if they still do, havent had one in years.
My favorite TV dinner was the Swanson hungry man turkey dinner (still is). Nobody in my family likes turkey,
so I indulge in one every once in a while even though it is loaded with sodium. Chicken pot pie is a close
second.

Well, I survived the game demos at the convention.

Figured something was up when the contact wouldn't call me with a schedule. So I left home at 4p to go do the demos Got there about 4:30.... and it was crickets throughout.

Seems there is another gaming event in town (mostly board games, Role Play, Card games (the cool fun ones like Magic the gathering) that sucked all of the friday evening players away.

We just sat in the lobby for an hour and chatted.

So I fulfilled my obligation, and told them I cleared my Friday evening as requested. Saturday is mine.

Good Evening All, from West Monroe LA. Today's travels went as OK as expected. Much slower than previous legs of the voyage, due to some time on older US highways with red lights. Made the lunch stop in Vicksburg MS, about half a block from the museum that we were visiting next. We ate at a rustic cafe that I don't remember the name of. Sort of a Cajun place. I had a blackened chicken breast sandwich with pasta salad; wife had shrimp, gulf scallops and grits. Tonight we have reservations at an Italian place we have gone to before. Skipping the Texas Roadhouse next door because it's just too damn noisy.
Gotta go now, see y'all later.

Good evening folks, hit 68 today with light rain most of the day. Still was a very busy day at the gunstore today, keeping all three of us busy all day long. Had a guy with a tented food cart in front of the store today with Cajun food. Had some really good red beans and rice from him. Got home and my g'niece was here had dinner with her then she and my wife went shopping for a dog t-shirt for her new job tomorrow at a dog hotel.
