This is not a little switcher though, it's about the size of the old ALCo RS3.Michael,
This is kinda/sort of what the little switching engines looked like.

Clean work space. The painter finished painting bedroom 2 so I had to move all my gear, computers, TV's etc from bedroom 3 into the newly painted bedroom 2. He's also finished painting the Kitchen and Rec room. The living room, bedrooms 1 and 3 are next on his list to get done. Swal

The Front view looked like that engine I posted, but it was about the size of the engine below, with 4 axles. We were in a bus traveling past. This is not a little switcher though, it's about the size of the old ALCo RS3.

Your first freight locomotive with the blue band is a Br.189, and your red locomotive is a Br.193 Siemens Vectron. The orange shunting locomotives are Vossloh 1000s.
And in Poland they got the nickname "Husarz" (Hussar) , a horse mounted heavy cavalry soldier. Small correction though; it's EU44 in Poland. And for those counting the BR 189 is a Siemens ES 64 F4, a multi country freight version in the EuroSprinter family. It is also outfitted to do passenger service but seldom does. Other countries use the ES 64 FE including Switzerland as the Re 474 and Poland as the EU45.
(Same family as my favorite, the “Taurus” ES 64 U/U2/U4 which are the BR 182 and BR 183).
I mention this here as the Amtrak ACS-64 City Sprinter locomotives are in the same family. Yet another European derivative used in the US.
Thanks, these will also go in the fileTom,
I just found another graffiti photo from our trip.
Michael and Louis,
I forgot to also mention that beer and wine were included with all meals. The included beer was Bitburger Pilsner.
I did sample some of the local Bavarian Pilsners when I had the time. I don't remember the names, but there is a big difference in fresh beer.View attachment 244859
I do not like clutter. SwalClean work space.
I was looking for the handles...A portable saw mill in the Black Forest

Another similarity. UK had Sentinel diesels.looked like that engine I posted
That middle or 2/3 cab format is common. Alco RS-3 etc. There were earlier German ones as well that go way back and I'm sure lots of other countries.I see some similarities. DE10 in Japan.

I prefer this over the cab in the middle like the DD51.That middle or 2/3 cab format is common. Alco RS-3 etc. There were earlier German ones as well that go way back and I'm sure lots of other countries.
You have way more will power than me!That's three meals on one plate for her, and two meals for me on mine.
