We’ve had at least two cats (cougar/mountain lion) in our neighborhood this year.

A few days ago someone posted a video of one just sitting in their backyard in the middle of the night. It then gets up and wanders off. Caught on a security camera. That was about 3/4 from my house. There are a bunch of town homes and it was in one of the backyards there. Really really close to where we used to live. (The town homes are on the same street I am on but across a “major” in-subdivision street.)

Earlier this year someone posted a video to our neighborhood FB page of one running down the sidewalk along the major street on the south side of our development. They were driving along the street and saw it. In the video you see it jump into a backyard that abuts the sidewalk as the car passes. That was 1/4-1/2 mile from my house.

I still go walking at night around the neighborhood. I figure the cats try and stay away from people. And I definitely would give them wide berth.

The “scariest” thing I’ve seen myself out walk was a snake absorbing heat from the sidewalk. It was around midnight and directly across the street from my house. July or early August iirc. I was almost done with a late evening walk and was walking on the sidewalk across from my house up to the mailbox cluster which is where I turn around and cross the street and go home. I almost stepped on it but saw it at the last minute. I stepped back and took a couple pics as it slithered off. The concrete was still warm I’m sure after sitting in the beating sun all day and Mr Snake was just warming himself.

Here is an example of a rotated photo. The orientation and data format aren’t in sync.

As a child we were on holiday camping with friends in a farmers field, my and the boy a year old than me, so about 5 and 6 were need his barn and had climbed onto a bail when the farmer came out at speed (this is England you rarely see anything dangerous) and grabbed us and took us to our parents, he said it was a warm summer and he and his family had. Been seen snakes and baby snakes in the baileys, and he expected the snakes to. Be likely to bite rather than slink away because of the babies.
We were promptly banned from that part of the field by parents and farmer, never got to see a snake there.

Have seen a snake once on our land in over 20 years,it did not seem impressed and slithered off at speed, I had no camera and no desire to go searching for it.over the years we have lost our hedgehogs, not seen one..in a coons age lol.

Who eats with a knife left and a fork right?
I just scoffed fried rice, but I fancied a full English
So boil rice, cooked the other half Eggs, back, sausage and fried potatoes, stole 1 sausage 1 bacon, fried onions and mushrooms in his bacon fat, broke up the bacon and sausage mixed in rice (no sesame oil) added fried egg (not scrambled) all scoffed….tasty tasty very very tasty…

Well it finally came in the mail. I have the older models that were flat. This company makes long and short ones. I like the short better and its aluminum.

Took a nap, until I got a sales text.

Got up and ate some applesauce for a late lunch. Gave up on letting my little white corpuscles run amok. I took a Tylenol. Don't tell Bobby Jr.

Hoping I was far enough along the immunology training for the system to kick some arse.

Listening to podcasts and reading the internet.

Well the 1921 Colt Commercial is going to be relisted. The high bidder, with only 2 feedbacks, tried to cancel early on. He had it on "auto bid", but never said that until the auction was over. Bids are binding. I'll keep my opinions, concerning not having money and bidding using Auto-bid, to myself.

Too bad we have to relist it, and he gets suspended for only 90 days.

Unfortunately that screwed the bidder below him that probably legitimately wanted the item.
