Greetings from the OG Fort Wayne named after Mad Anthony Wayne, General

There is a Fort Wayne in Michigan named after him, but that fort wasn't built until about 50 years after our Mad Anthony fort.

Weather this week is what I wished for this summer - Highs in the 70s. Rain moving in late Saturday

3D printed some more "flavor" for my upcoming army of Ghostbusters gone bad... This one should have been in green resin. But I'll paint them.

PS you're looking at it's back... There are arms on it, if you look closer.

Good morning all!

Currently 54F heading up to a high of 74F.

Usual load of laundry, light vacuuming, and dishwasher empty are on the agenda this morning. Other than that, not
much on the agenda for today. Wife goes back to work, and daughter heads back to school after the 4 day weekend
so the house should be quiet once again and the usual routine can return to normal.

Volleyball fame tonight is away. Dinner will be somewhere on the way home.

Have a safe day everyone!

Good morning. 48f degrees now and the guess for this afternoon is 65. Yesterday we had an unexpected morning rain that put a trace only in the collection beaker. The rest of the day just seemed off after that.

I knew the grandson and his 2 best friends I call buddies when they added the 12 year old girl/goalie to their group (she is buddette) late last Spring were courting troubles. She went on a date Saturday night (a movie) with someone not in the group and the 3 boys are not handling it well! They had been going to the movies together! They all ride bikes or scooters to school every day together and they left her behind yesterday morning and ignored her in the classes they share. Ah, young love in 11-12 years olds! The grandson’s mom (our daughter) made him go over to budette’s house (lives with her grandparents across from him) and apologize. Her granddad is a nice guy and texted me last night saying Brooks did good by coming over as budette was completely baffled why the guys suddenly abandoned her. I think this will happen again if the 4 can stay as friends as she is a cutey with a great personality, plus she’s a very skilled goalie!

My Scaletrains order of modern boxcars are on the way. STX besides nice models has the best customer service IMO in the business. Of the 36 cars ordered 16 of them will be for me (like I needed more cars). The other 20 are for a couple weathering clients and a friend. Before you ask, I still do commission weathering I’ve just cut back greatly. 5 of the cars will stay with the road names, 8 will become my Wisconsin Interstate and 3 my Wisconsin River Valley.

The Swing Bridge build continues with today being primer day. The plan is to lightly prime the dark green bridge parts with enough to kill the dark color but turn the dark color into shadowing by blending. My friend still has not decided on the base bridge color ( gray, silver or white) so the primer will be a light ghost gray mixed from Tamiya Arcylics (think a dirty Casper the Friendly Ghost coloring). If I get this the way my mind sees it I think I can get him to approve the bridge for some heavier weathering than he thinks he wants now

traiNscale (Marco from Switzerland here on the forum) has a nice YouTube channel. I know most of the Crew here doesn’t do Facebook but he has a page there too. He goes by TraiNscale in both places so he’s easy to find

I’ve gone back as of Sunday to a more restrictive diet. Seems to be doing very well as in the 48 hours since I started I have gained 2# 7oz

Have a great day

Morning all,

64° and cloudy with some rain possible this morning, high of 82° later.

Yesterday was a Monday's Monday. One of those days nothing goes as planned and you're really thinking do I want another 5 years? Fortunately, workarounds worked, so nothing down hard or for long, but just make you question your life choices.

Today should be better? Starting that way anyway.

BBL

Moin!

56°F/54°F this morning, heading for 80°F today. The days are getting shorter so this temperature is only a short peak before it starts falling again.

Might do a load of laundry today. Shopping tomorrow and have to pick up three more scrips.

Have a great day everyone. Servus!

Good morning Everybody!

Instead of working for Amazon I am "working" around the house. I take more breaks than I work and I had two baseball games to watch as well!

Angela wanted her PC in the upstairs office rather than in the family room with me. She said "It sounds like I am at the game, I can't hear myself think" I do keep the TV pretty loud when I watch a ball game and I am often watching a ball game. I like the feeling of being at the game. I could care less what the broadcasters say, but I enjoy the roar of the crowd! It doesn't bother me at all. It makes me feel comfortable.

The PC move is all but done, I need a USB extension cable to put the PC where it should be. The keyboard cable is long enough, but not the mouse. I have a wireless mouse, but I know she likes the cool looking gaming mouse that came with the PC. It is comfortable to use as well.

Did anyone see the Brewers-Dodgers game last night? Particularly the top half of the 4th inning. It was wild, if I had been pitching for the Dodgers, I would have been pissed! The Dodgers stupidity running the bases cost them at least one run, probably more! What should have been an easy run, turned into an inning ending double play! I don't have time now to go into it, but I'll be back.

It is time to begin to remove her empty desk, I'm not sure where it is going but it is not staying where it is!

Yes, they did. But I have always questioned some of their investment choices, including that one. Charlie also invested in gold jewelry which I pointed out was a bad investment, because a woman never parts with her gold jewelry! Another investment that he has made, and is still making, is LGB trains. He has a whole 240 sq ft room with floor to ceiling shelves holding hundreds of engines/freight cars that have never even been removed from their boxes. He has admitted that he owns less than 25' of track, so he can't even run them. His heirs will benefit though!
I have not been following any commodity since 1990 when I damn near bankrupt the family playing the commodity market. Gold and silver are rising this week per the scroll on Good Morning America. Wow gold is at $4146.80 per oz. this morning

I’ve got written plans and folks to help in removing the layout and selling off my trains. My LHS guy told me last year he was getting out of the estate business because while he offered decent prices the widows complained it was worth more. So he was my go to guy and the planned had to change. Terry and the kids know that whatever they get will be fine and nowhere near what it’s worth. A couple friends will give the kids an idea and they can decide

Good Morning All. Slightly foggy and 64°, heading into the upper 80's again today.

Continued to mow yesterday, not that any area needs it too badly, but we'll be gone for a week so it needs to get done. Today, I'll finish the rest, about 30 more minutes. Need to do a load of laundry early and I'll begin packing a bag to take on the trip.

Stock market made a partial recovery yesterday from Friday's massacre. I made back 85% of what I lost, but the pre-market numbers this morning don't look good at the moment.

Out in the train shed yesterday, I continued on both of my current projects. I finished the rehab of the small area occupied by the Golden Dragon Chinese take-out business and put everything back in place. That corner with the Whitewater Brewery across the road is completed. At least for now. I'll be looking for a couple more vehicles for the brewery's parking lot today.

While I had the take-out place off the layout, I tested the lighting that I had installed but never hooked up years ago. It can barely be seen illuminating the two figures inside in this picture taken at the workbench.

And like many details on my layout, it can't really be seen unless you know that it is there. And, while I have some lighting buss's to some parts of the layout, only one has actually been hooked up; but I never use it! Maybe one day I will head out there at night and see how it all looks! I have perhaps 50 structures with lights installed all together; under a dozen are powered so far. I re-discover many of them when it comes time to remove them for their cleaning routine.
On that project, I cleaned all of the remaining track in the staging yard and vacuumed it yesterday, completing that phase of the project. Today I will move all of the trains back and free up both the main line and several passing sidings.

Joe - My PCP's staff has been incompetent since I first started using him over 20 years ago. I have had insurance claims and lab test payments denied because someone in the office used the wrong code on the form. Back in the 80's my wife used to do insurance for a different doctor, and she now has to call the PCP's office and tell them how to file the claim so that it gets paid. She's been successful in all but one of the three dozen or so instances. It also takes 2 calls to get a medication refill processed correctly many times. This particular time it took 4 calls total.
Todd - I've tried some of these new-fangled "better" mousetraps before, but I have learned that nothing works better than the tried and true Victor brand trap.
Terry/Chad - Regarding the LGB trains that my SIL's husband bought for investment. The real scenario is that his step daughter knows the value and if she has any input on the estate, I have given her a few contacts in the Dallas area who are reputable resellers.

Everybody have a great Tuesday.

Willie: I hear you. My PCP used to screw up Medicare billing....got quite a few free services out of that. Biggest problem is losing" lab reports. especially those done at the in house lab. Now that they are under the umbrella of the mega practice, they just screw up appointments and lose labs and x-rays. Fortunately, all my prescriptions are filled through specialists, so the PCP's office cannot screw that up.

Good afternoon all.
Afternoon Tea please, Flo.
A busy day chasing things up that others should have done earlier.
Royal Mail has taken five days to deliver a parcel that was eight miles away. Then they ask 'How well did they do?'

Oldest grandson is here after school. He wants burger and chips (fries).
