That is, it. I keep seeing headlines about him/her/it. I don't watch the half time shows. I'm asleep long before half time and I don't have to see any of the nonsense when I watch the replay on my DVR.

Thinking about it, that was a rhetorical question because I could care less. It is curious why so many have their "panties in a bunch" Which I find to be amusing in and of itself. Supposedly "tough guys" who are hypersensitive.

I'm no longer in anyone's target audience. Which is okay by me. I watch the Super Bowl to see football. They usually have a few entertaining commercials too.

But I still don't know why everyone is so upset and neither do I care.

The older generation was upset over a young artists named Elvis; It's nothing new.
 


Good morning all!

Currently a cold 30F with a 21Mph wind making it feel like 8F. High is only supposed to hit 33F. Winter is letting us know she is on
the doorstep. No snow fell with yesterdays all day rain. It stayed several degrees above freezing. It did bring a ton of leaves down.

Not sure what today will bring yet. Everyone is getting a slow start and we just finished breakfast.

Not much else to report, have a safe day everyone.

I use liquid nails project adhesive. I don't know how well any others work, since this is all I have used.

If you ever want to peel them back apart, you might try latex caulk, which would be less permanent than construction adhesive.

I haven’t followed the uproar, but apparently honked off half the country with some very politically opinionated comments about who he wanting watching his show. Since I didn’t bother checking, because I also don’t care, I’ll just go with what I was told.
And of course, it’s all about politics, so we really can’t go deeper here.

I did a lot of outdoor tasks yesterday since the weather is going to be colder today and tomorrow. Today will be indoor stuff. All of the usual things.

Out in the train shed yesterday, I did no modeling. My neighbor Bubba brought his two grandsons, age 6 & 8 over to see the trains. Bubba has never seen them either although he knew about them since his Dad, another neighbor, has seen them. I spent 2 hours with them, running trains and challenging them to find scenes like the bears or the men repairing the lawnmower...that's what Bubba does for a living. The nude sunbathers are on the upper level where the youngsters can't see them. They thoroughly enjoyed themselves and were disappointed when I closed down so I could attend to supper. They needed to go anyway, since their Mom had called to check on them at least twice!

It wasn't his lifestyle, but his stubbornness when he had an issue and didn't go to a doctor. Unknown to me or any of our other siblings, he began having trouble swallowing in 2016, but didn't go to a doctor until he absolutely couldn't swallow at all in 2021. By then his stage four throat tumor was inoperable and he didn't last too long after that despite the feeding tubes.
Tom O - I've never eaten at a Michelin star restaurant that I know of. There are just two in Dallas, neither of which I have ever heard of. None of the 18 in the whole state have more than one star. I had to look this up.

Willie, I have been to 3 Michelin starred restaurants and they all share 2 things. Overpricing of small quantities of food and absolute spectacular over the top service. I can tell you I don’t need 4 servers bringing the main course, out to the table, I don’t need anyone to put a cloth napkin on my lap since I’ve been doing paper napkins my whole life. It wasn’t something Terry or me were thinking about. But coach and his wife were gung ho about going. Coach thought it would be “cool” so we said yes, sure we’ll go. Of course with as hard as reservations are I never expected to get in for the brunch.

I don't care either since I don't watch the game or the show. I think it is mostly about whether he is the right fit for a Super Bowl halftime show. He is a Latin rapper (OK), and has long manicured and polished fingernails. I have seen pictures of him in pink hot pants. He was seen kissing a male dancer in one of his televised performances, but he considers his sexuality as "fluid". But hey! I have seen both Jim Morrison and Mick Jagger kissing males before! Many folks just don't feel that he is the right image for a Super Bowl show. YMMV

Having been in the industry and kitchen I get it. There are "foodies" that like to have the WOW! dining experience and there are "diners" that want a good meal. Back in my chef days, Bay Area chefs would go to each others restaurants, so they could enjoy their talents. Nicki and I have had 2-star dining experiences from no-star chefs. The Europeans I had worked with back in the 1980's hated the American trend of stacking food and having a dozen complicated ingredients. They called it "playing with the food" because it was handled so much.

A 1 star restaurant pretty much means that the chef is putting out amazingly great food. 2 stars means the food is perfect, every time, and the service matches. 3 stars mean everything is perfect, for the whole dining experience, every time.
