It's Troy again

We got the powdery white stuff here in the fort. Looks like up to another 2 inches coming in later today. I might get to use the new electric snow blower!

Slept in til 6 this morning. We'll see if that keeps up. I always hope that a trip three time zones away resets the internal clock from summer when I wake at the crack of dawn.

Off to the writing cave. BBL

Good morning from a beautiful looking even in the dark white covering! Yes we have white stuff on the ground and right now mainly on the grass. However we stay below freezing for at least the next 30 hours per the WeatherChannel’s hourly guesses. It’s 29f degrees now and we have snow showers. The sun is expected to hide today.

This morning after 9 I will head to the bench for a couple hours. Then cleanup and get ready for Volleyball on campus at 1. Maybe a late afternoon lunch or early dinner around 4 at one of the many very good dives around campus

Enjoy the day

A few more of my favorites at the show, both 0 gauge, although only 3 rail; New Haven EP4:

And Milwaukee Road EF4, AKA "Little Joe":

There's no New Haven electric locomotives which have been saved, except for a pair of EF4, ex Virginians which they purchased second hand from Norfolk and Western. But a real "Little Joe" can be seen in Deer Lodge, Montana at display:

Thankfully some of us can hide.

I listen to a lot of music when I'm doing stuff around the house. It seems that Windows 11 has left out the command to Play all Music in a folder as in Windows 10 which has this feature. I don't understand why they would leave this out, but they say complain to Microsoft and maybe they'll make the change. So, for now I either have to do this using my window 10 computer or the music speaker I bought. Swal

There's nothing like The Cars on a nice sunny drive, "Hello" is one of my favorites.

Good Morning All. Clear and 46°, no white stuff visible here. They're still predicting a freeze tonight and then back into the 70's and 80's by Tuesday. They're also guessing rain next weekend.

I did a lot of outdoor tasks yesterday since the weather is going to be colder today and tomorrow. Today will be indoor stuff. All of the usual things.

Out in the train shed yesterday, I did no modeling. My neighbor Bubba brought his two grandsons, age 6 & 8 over to see the trains. Bubba has never seen them either although he knew about them since his Dad, another neighbor, has seen them. I spent 2 hours with them, running trains and challenging them to find scenes like the bears or the men repairing the lawnmower...that's what Bubba does for a living. The nude sunbathers are on the upper level where the youngsters can't see them. They thoroughly enjoyed themselves and were disappointed when I closed down so I could attend to supper. They needed to go anyway, since their Mom had called to check on them at least twice!

Louis -
What the hell is a "bad bunny" and why should I care?
I'm not sure what you are referencing to here. But I think that Bad Bunny is a controversial entertainer scheduled to appear at the Super Bowl.
I'm sure you miss him and I am all but certain he didn't realize what he was doing to himself until it was too late.
It wasn't his lifestyle, but his stubbornness when he had an issue and didn't go to a doctor. Unknown to me or any of our other siblings, he began having trouble swallowing in 2016, but didn't go to a doctor until he absolutely couldn't swallow at all in 2021. By then his stage four throat tumor was inoperable and he didn't last too long after that despite the feeding tubes.
Tom O - I've never eaten at a Michelin star restaurant that I know of. There are just two in Dallas, neither of which I have ever heard of. None of the 18 in the whole state have more than one star. I had to look this up.

Everyone have a great Sunday.

I know veteran's day is the 11 but one of my favorite songs Light My Fire by the Doors in 1967 had just came out as I was getting out of the Marine Corps and going home. So it's on my play list just for that reason. Swal

Bad Bunny is an American rapper: From the AI Overlords:

Bad Bunny is a Puerto Rican singer, rapper, and songwriter known for his música urbana style, which blends reggaeton and trap with other genres. Born Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, he rose to fame through SoundCloud and collaborations with artists like Cardi B and Drake, becoming one of the world's most-streamed artists. In addition to his music career, he is also an actor and occasional professional wrestler.

He's about the right fit for attracting a younger, and more international audience to the NFL. I don't listen to rap, but I wasn't planning on watching the SuperBowl. No matter who plays. I'm not the target demographic the NFL needs to attract to keep their viewership going into new generations and new markets.

As for weather, we have a dusting of SNOW that's melting, but more is on the way.

I live in the Fort Wayne box, right above the U in "Up to 2"

A lot of my author friends at the convention last week made it home safely, but a few got tangled in the SNAFU at the airports. A couple are home after a gruelling 24 hours, and one is still sitting in the airport since yesterday.

I'm fired up about wording words and doing marketing (I'm not good at marketing, but I understand it). Fortunately, one of my newer author friends (I got to hold the leash of Skye Princess, here Chihuahua familiar while she added the fixins to her coffee one morning) is a marketing mentor and has spent a big chunk of time building a system with the AI overlords to do a complete marketing report on books uploaded to it. I didn't want to spend $100.... but five minutes later i was reading and kept saying "Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn!" in a good way.

Gonna have to do some marketing work this week once I finish wording the words.
