So I am waiting for a special package from ScaleTrains and UPS sends me an E-Mail letting me know that I can follow my package. So when I click on the link, this is what I get. View attachment 246967
Why send the damn E-Mail to begin with?
Usually it works but once in a while I see that same problem. The driver's truck or his handheld or whatever sends the location data probably is in a comms blind spot or otherwise is erroring out on upload and the last data it uploaded has timed out.
Fedex is the worst at telling folks that a package has arrived. The gun store I work does a lot of transfers for folks. Fedex's system tells folks at 8AM their gun has been delivered when it is loaded on their truck 60 miles away. We usually don't see the gun until mid-late afternoon. It is a real aggravation as some poor folks don't call, they just drive over [sometimes taking off from work!] and the gun won't be there for hours.
I have to give Amazon credit, their system works and I can track their little truck through the boonies easily; but only the last 6 stops before me. That sometimes takes 30 minutes or more.
BTW, the package arrived at 4:45, just 45 minutes past their projected time slot.

History was made tonight: In Washington, Alex Ovetchkin scored his 900th NHL Goal on St Louis. (The St Louis goalie, Binnington, was caught on Camera, trying to slip the puck into his pants. Caps beat the Blues 6 - 1. Ref made him give it up.
Just bought this little Kyoto sight seeing train and have had to work on it already.
She ran great for two days but started stalling badly for the last two. I couldn't figure out how to separate the drawbar without total destruction, so I broke out the instruction sheet to see if they sold the drawbar separately, just in case. Well, didn't find what I needed but saw something much more valuable.
The itty-bitty joint thing that keeps splitting after 20+ years! I've been searching for this for a while and need a lot of them to fix my old stuff, especially the RDC Budds that I had recently remotored. I am going to be buying a lot of these since I expect them to become unobtainium again.
Let me know if any of you need this thing. I'm going to be ordering tomorrow.
