In other news, I just found out that someone in our neighborhood had a medical emergency while trying to get back to their condo. Passed out, floored it, hit the berm with a privacy fence between our neighborhood and a business in a commercially zoned house next to us.
Survived, but hit the garage on the back of the house. I think it's either an accountant or chiropractor in the building.
Of course, the board member I talked to couldn't reveal names due to privacy.
And in still other news, Terry's gripes and grumps about passcodes made me start looking into them. What are they, why do they exist, are they really more secure (yes, with a really big BUT attached)
I like this source from a cybersecurity YouTuber:
Yes, I was guilty of using a password manager with both Google Chrome, and with one of the services. The one the girl in the video says to never use.
This morning I spent some time chatting with Claude, after I had him put his Cybersecurity expert hat on. He gave the same info as Addie in the videos, so I started explaining my hardware/software/app preferences (all Apple, but Gmail, and Chrome browser preferred.)
So he convinced me to switch to Safari. Ten years ago, I hated Safari. Now, it's not too bad. Only one thing I don't care for (lack of a series of home pages I can open by starting up the browser.) So, I'll just have it remember the last opened pages, and put top level favorites bookmarks in for my two MRR forums I look at.
So, It's Passkey time.
And I deleted the password manager account, after migrating my data (delete the CSV file, then empty your trash as soon as you've verified the data transferred.
