I buy mandarine oranges in a can at the Aldi.Terry, I've got a macbook pro with 8gb RAM and 500gb SSD
I keep most files off in the cloud except the current work and essential files. I still only have 171 GB available on the drive. Probably my pics and music that I haven't migrated to the cloud yet.
Had a fun 3.5 hours.
Wife said I could play with her oranges!
But that's not what she meant. Instead, I got to peel about 8ish pounds of mandarins, blanche them, and let her peel the stringy bits off them.
Much chaos ensued... Me using the waterbath canner...

I'm hungry and tired. Wonder what she'll have me make for supper?
I think that you speak of the PT-6, Pratt & Whitney turboprop.I'd give almost anything to get a chance at flying one of those. The HP to weight ratio when empty is incredible. Swinging a three blade prop, that TB-6 turboprop engine will almost go vertical and climb.
They dust around here too in the season. Two or three of them come in at a time and land at KSAR up the road from me.
About the most fun you can have with your clothes on.
The red poppy I also used in the UK as a symbol of remembrance, from the same poem. It is worn leading up to and on Remembrance Day, November 11 -- the end of WW1. In the US This was originally Armistice Day, and was changed by President Eisenhower in 1954 to be Veterans Day, to honor and remember all veterans and members of the armed forces, living and dead. Today, Memorial Day, in the US, is set aside to remember the fallen of the armed forces.Thoughts on this Memorial Day.............
General George S. Patton famously stated, "It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather, we should thank God that such men lived."
This quote was delivered by Patton on June 7, 1945, during a speech at the Copley Plaza Hotel in Boston, following the end of the war in Europe. He expressed similar sentiments earlier in the war, specifically at a memorial service at an Allied cemetery near Palermo, Italy, on November 11, 1943, where he said, "In my mind we came here to thank God that men like these have lived rather than to regret that they have died."
In reference to the "Red Poppy"...............
- American Legion: Adopted the poppy as its official flower in 1920 and launched a national distribution program in 1924.
- Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW): Adopted the poppy as its official memorial flower in 1922 and began nationwide distribution in 1923.
The poppy as a symbol of war casualties started with a poem. In the spring of 1915, a Canadian artillery unit brigade surgeon named Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae saw bright-red poppies blooming on the war-torn fields where so many soldiers had lost their lives. The sight moved him to write the famous poem “In Flanders Fields”
The tradition was popularized in the U.S. by Moina Michael, who vowed to wear a poppy after reading McCrae’s poem and later convinced The American Legion to adopt it as their official flower in 1920
Enjoy your freedoms...........John
Wow, that beast's engine puts out as much horsepower as a WW2 Merlin!I think that you speak of the PT-6, Pratt & Whitney turboprop.
However, that appears to be a radial engine on the first photo of the SFW pictures.
Air Tractor in Olney Texas builds the best crop dusters using the P&W PT6A-65AG engine with a 5 blade prop. ( Air Tractor-AT-802A )

Olney Texas is right at 50 miles east of my location.
Take care....John
You have my sympathy. I had to do something similar to get my IRS records but it went relatively smooth as I use my laptop for almost everything online. So I'm trying to get my social security going. Login.gov no longer supports overseas folks. Start the id.me process and get all the info uploaded...
...Man, I hate this sh!t. Done with this cr@p for today. Will let the SSA site gel and catch up, synch, or whatever it needs to do.
Moving at the speed of Goobermint! So I'm trying to get my social security going. Login.gov no longer supports overseas folks. Start the id.me process and get all the info uploaded. Waited 2 hours for the telcon to confirm ID. Nowhere does it say that I need a camera and microphone on my computer, so when the guy finally pops in, we can't do squat. Luckily, there was a chat bar, so I was telling him all this. He sent me a link to rejoin the meeting, so I fire up my laptop, that I haven't done anything with over the past few years. Type in the link for the meeting, get back in and I can't get the camera to work. Can't even see the chat bar as the screen resolution is set too high, which is how I set it up when I first got the laptop (17 inch diagonal), but had to zoom all the way out to 33% to see everything else in the video call. So, we go to google meeting (don't trust google for anything, but had to as I just wanted to get it done already), and it all works. Maybe google bypassing all my security settings?
Anyway, finally get all that done, go back to the SSA website, allow them whatever they need, and can't log in. WTF!
Then I get an email from VA.gov saying that my id.me access is granted. Forgot all about them as I had started that process a few years ago.
Man, I hate this sh!t. Done with this cr@p for today. Will let the SSA site gel and catch up, synch, or whatever it needs to do.
Thanks. I had started id.me earlier, but they needed a US address and phone number. Now they don't.You have my sympathy. I had to do something similar to get my IRS records but it went relatively smooth as I use my laptop for almost everything online.
I already had ID.me set up some time ago and all I had to do was get my built-in cam going and then things worked out OK. It was still a pain-in-the butt so I can understand your frustration.
Can you cut the ends flatter to lessen the gap? From what I've seen of expanding foam, it would make a mess and then you'd have to figure out a way to cut it flush with the top, which probably would end up gouging the surface that you want flat.Question for the brainiacs!
I managed to get a gap or two as I reused sections of foam I salvaged from the 2ft wide benchwork in this peninsula.
Best method for filling the cracks?
I’m thinking expanding foam sealant??

Maybe I should have remained for my final two years in the USCS, being brain dead and unproductive. Screw something up major and get promoted...Moving at the speed of Goobermint!
