Same Ol' Buzzard
Good Morning All. Rain and 67°. No, the NWS didn't see this one coming. Thunderstorm rolled through starting around 0500. Currently looks like 1" of rain in the gauge. Forecast now calls for rain again tomorrow morning. Mid-70's overnight to low-90's for most of the week.
Still having issues with the forum. Since it's been determined on another thread that Vertical Scope is not the issue, what is the problem. I asked yesterday and haven't seen a response yet. Wish that it would get fixed before I give up.
Got some mowing done yesterday before running out of gas, but didn't feel like going and getting any more at the time. The pool with a cold beer just seemed better. I'll go this morning since I can't do any type of yardwork. Have a late (3:00) appointment at the electrocardiologist's office for a six month follow-up. They called on Friday to say that he wasn't going to be in and I will have to see the NP instead. Mixed feelings about this. I will have to readjust the pool chemical balance again today after the unexpected rainfall! Seems like this has become an every other day affair now.
I only ran trains out in the train shed yesterday. As is usual for a Sunday, there just wasn't enough uninterrupted time to get back to my ongoing project. Meanwhile let me try to post the pictures that I gave up on yesterday.
I had posted last week that I had to make repairs on 4 of the 5 new ScaleTrains 89' boxcars, the same repair on both ends of 3 of them. This delicate part was not properly inserted in it's hole.
This car also had this part loose in the box.
Here's what they look like when properly installed.
A look now at the three extra cars that they sent mistakenly and told me to keep.
If I just run some of them on the upper level, maybe no one will notice that there's roofwalks on two of them; not that any who visits would even know the history of freight cars!
So far they all run OK on the upper level, which is good for a car of this length. My longest cars prior to this are a scale 79' well car, of which I have many. I haven't run any of them on the lower level yet, but I don't expect any problems since those curves are all just a little broader than the upper level; 30"-34" instead of 28"-32".

It has stopped raining and the windows are now all opened, hoping that the cooler temperatures migrate into the house.
Everybody have a great Monday. Let's see if this posts.
