Good afternoon everyone on this cloudy Father's Day. Just waiting for the storm front to arrive from the west. This one doesn't seem like it's going to fall apart before it gets here like last week.

81°F/71°F currently. Lunch is on the stove so I gotta run. Hope this posts, but I'm not holding my breath.

Afternoon all!

Somebody must of flipped the switch, forum is humming along nicely. Hope it lasts!

Pretty boring day around the house with my daughter gone all day and my wife in the office working on end/beginning fiscal
projects for the State of Illinois. She is in the even if the house is burning down around me do not disturb mode. Plus its looking
like an all day rain here.

Guess I will be in the basement if anyone needs me!

Enjoying [?] the intermittent Forum glitches, Had a great Father's Day at Church today. My lovely Bride and a friend sang a really special and the messages were really good preaching. Got home after the Afternoon Service, grabbed a nap and now will start packing for our Anniversary getaway tomorrow. You guys have a great afternoon.

I'll take a dry heat. We have "dry heat". 95-100 is hot but not a problem. Go to Florida, 95-100 with 80-100% humidity is a death sentence.
I can confirm it's pretty miserable.
When we moved to LA from Florida, everybody was complaining about how hot it was. I asked when it was going to get hot... It did get to 115 a few times, and that was hot, but still not as miserable as hot and humid. The Santa Ana winds are not fun, it's like standing in front of a full-body hair dryer.

Well, howdy there internet peeps and those not bots.

It was over 5,000 of them this morning when I logged in.

We'll see if this gets uploaded in any timely fashion.

Made it to the Niece's graduation party (1.5 hour drive away). Things were fine. One of my aunts and uncles were leaving as we arrived. They had family reunion on the other side to get to.

Chatted, drank some sugared sodas (Note to self: Take my own Diet Dr. Ps when the next one happens)

Got home in time for supper. and spent the rest of day sitting on the front porch before the HOA makes me pull in my chairs so they don't offend anyone.

I must have been bit by a spider. Had "pimple" on my shoulder the next morning, and then I felt like crap all day. Ate some yogurt, a couple of cookies, and slice of sourdough cinnamon bread.

Yes my wife has a sourdough starter she's trying to get going so she can get some "clean" bread without all the extras of the processing.

Cinnamon on the left, sourdough on the right.

Our daughter has been making sourdough loaves for a while, and for once wife had to ask the kid "How do you do...?" It's usually the other way around since wife went to the state fair often with her baked goods and home crafts in 4H.

Daughter said to use a Dutch oven to help it cook all the way through. Or put two loaf pans together to make a po'girls dutch oven. Well, wife has two loaf pans and they were both in use.

So I ordered this for her birthday present:

Teal is her color. And it's small enough we can use it for meals for two when it doesn't have bread in it.

Later today I have to interview another author on video for a book club feature. We both write cozies. So I have to hurry up and finish the 2nd half of her book this morning so I can ask intelligent questions. Fortunately, it's only 15 minutes.

Ok... time to push the POST REPLY button. Let's see if it goes through....

Good morning all!

Monday, Monday..........

Its currently a damp, cloudy 52F. We are supposed to see the sun later this morning and the high will top out at 76F. I see we had more
rain overnight. Yesterday it rained literally all day. I dumped 1.4" out of the gauge between last night and this morning. Pool is overfull
again so I will have to deal with that this morning and let some out.

Usual household stuff going on today.

Not much else going on at the moment, just waiting to take my daughter to drivers ed. This is the last classroom week before the behind
the wheel starts sometime in July.

Hope all the Fathers had a great day yesterday!

Have a safe day everyone!

I was talking to a friend yesterday who became a great grandfather last Tuesday. His grand daughter had triplet girls. The first was born at 11:48 pm and they named her Tuesday. The second girl was born at 11:58 and they named her Tudae. The last girl was born at 12.11 on Wednesday morning and they named her Tamara.
I think he speaks with a forked tongue.
