Well, howdy there internet peeps and those amazed that any of Willie's little train patrons survived that horrific mortorcycle crash!

:p

It's Troy again. 69° f currently. Sitting on the patio with the cat. Might actually keep jeans on all day. Only supposed to get up to 79°. Smoking some chicken breasts tonight for dinner.

Breaking in the new hearing aids. Already have a list of need to alter/change started. Need closed domes. I listen to too much streaming music/calls/podcasts using the hearing aids as bluetooth earbuds. They're tinny sounding, especially calls, even after I used my controls on the app to bump the bass and drop the highs. Go in on Tues for the first of several fine tunings....

Tomorrow is the big retirement day for my wife's first boss at the company they've both worked for ever since. That's 30+ years for each of them. They've gone through three name changes, and two buyouts. The company is now part of Labcorp, but in the research and clinical trials division.

Wife is going to drive the 2.5 hours down to a coworker's house in a western suburb of Indianapolis for an open house from 3p to 6p. I could go, but I won't know but one person at the open house. And there's only one train/hobby store on that side of town. Right now there's nothing I need to go make the trip to Big 4 Hobbies while she relives old times with old co-workers.

I might go to Costco later today, and see if they have a brisket. If so, I've got charcoal and a smoker. I know what I'll be doing tomorrow.

Glued arms holding two handed great axes and warhammers onto orcs last night. I cursed. A LOT. The kit is ok for the one handed weapons. but trying to get three points of contact between each arm to shoulder, and one arm to the other weapon that is already attached to the first arm was difficult. Colorful sailor language was used.

Fortunately, the kit came with add-on armored shoulder pads. I made extensive use of those to cover gaps. I need to do up another set of 10, but I don't feel like cussing that much right now.
Not knowing how you assemble orcs, can you glue their hands to the sword first, then glue their arms to their shoulders.

Morning all,

77° and clear for now, high of 88° later.

First time Iteraveled by air in 2010 after getting the knee revision, I had set off the detector at the local airport when going to catch a flight. I had a special search that involved extra pat down and the knee getting extra special, but not gentle pressure. Then I had to board a flight with the seat occupant ahead of me having to have full recline the whole flight. Being tall and long legged didn't help. I just don't fly anywhere anymore. It's not fun or pleasant. And no I didn't really have an Dr exam, but the "preferrential" treatment was bad enough to make me not want to put myself in that position again. Last time we went to Florida (Disney) the kids all flew and the wife and I drove.

Normally, that would work. I do that with WW2 soldiers (most model companies have switched to molding both arms on the weapon).

This one isn't labeled which Rt arm goes with which left arm+ weapon. The rt hands are already molded onto the weapons. I tried using plastic glue to stick arm to hand on weapon and twist to get the flats on both shoulders to line up, only to have a large gap between arm and shoulder. Twisting while the glue is "sticky"

Still didn't line up #$%^@!!!! I don't believe they are designed well. Or, only one rt arm goes with one left arm... there are three molds of right arms (multiples of each) and 5 of each left arm/weapon.

Good morning gang!

61° and cloudy this morning sunny closer to noon with a high of 81°.

Wife watched the debate last night, while I went down the basement and played with the trains. I did hear her yell at the TV a few times, laugh a few times and she was all full of babble by the time it was over. By that time, I had consumed a few twisted teas and was able to pretty much turn her off Win or lose in either case we’re screwed.
