You don't see enough properly populated towns (vehicles and people) on layouts these days. Someone has quite the investment in CMW and Oxford Diecast! The good stuff!
Here's some people.

Yeah. I didn’t buy hard covers but have read every one at least twice and some a few more times.

These and Lord of the Rings are ones I’ve read multiple times and intend to again.
I’ve not read Lord of the Rings. I have however read 2 full series of books that I ended up buying the hard cover versions later when on super sale at Barnes andvNoble.

The twilight series by Stephenie Meyer and

JK Rowlings Harry Potter series of 7 books of which I was also gifted the special run leather bound books

Haven't received a response back from ESU yet, but I found this video and at timestamp 9:08, he takes the shell off. I don't see a stay alive. If this is the case, then your fix will be to clean the wheels and track.
I have a stay alive installed. Not one of my other engines have this problem. Both Scale Trains engines do. I'm looking to hook the number lights to a different circuit or some other fix. Swal

Strange issue. The ESU guy just wrote back but since you installed your stay alives, the settings he suggested won't do anything. It really does seem like a loose connection for that one light on the PCB and may be systemic, affecting both locos.

Alan - Nice work on the decals. They can be a booger to get right. Had a tough time with the Northern Pacific F units and Geeps. I have a couple of kits to finish that can keep me indoors. We're expected to be in the ()'s for the rest of the week. The only thing I have to go out for is to take the dogs for a very fast walk.
Number boards are interesting but of you want real frustration, try the small numbers on steam engine headlight castings! They will teach you patience, and fill up the swear jar.

Well, howdy there internet peeps.

Wife was busy in the kitchen today:
She made BIG broccoli pieces into little broccoli pieces: Filled two half-pint jars with 2 pounds of fresh florets.

Those will get vacuum sealed in Ball Jars, and get used in soups this winter.

And she made apple crisp, and another loaf of Cinnamon Bread! That stuff is addictive.

But before I could have my dessert I had to take her out to dinner. She wanted to hit the local City BBQ... but, they were temporarily closed due to a water main break at the mall.

We decided to try the pizza place on the other side of the mall... same story. No water.

So, we went to the place I suggested first: Wings Etc.

After we got home, Sweetie pronounce the apple crisp ready to eat.

I decided I'd help out the California wine industry, since someone killed the Canadian market for liquor. California was already over-producing, so wine prices are pretty good right now.

Yes, I got my apple crisp.

WILLIE: my wife is aware of the side effects of the Methotrexate. She took her folic acid two days ago, to help her body have enough to temper the nausea. She's planning on doing nothing tomorrow. Just watching her K-dramas. Fortunately, she's not on the cancer level dosage of the stuff.

The number boards are either constant-lit, or lit when F8 is pressed for engine sounds. If you know someone with a Lokprogrammer, they can go into function mapping and change that function to another function key, and move it away from dependency on the way it's set from the factory.

Good evening guys, we had a nice afternoon here, took Lady C to lunch at Brother's BBQ. She loves their BBQ stuffed baked potato and they have a lunch plate that I love. Got stuff put away because of possible guests. Received a DCC fitted Kato 2-8-2 today, will test it tomorrow since my toys got put away. Watching the ALL Star game right now, Patti LaBelle did a beautiful rendition of the National Anthem. Got a fine thunderstorm starting up right now, rain lights, noise, etc. Glad we have an enclosed garage in case of hail. You guys have a good evening.

Had a big scare with my Scaletrains GP30. While researching the C39, ESU gave me some info on Scaletrains circuit boards, so I gave it a try. The NCE lost comms with my computer while writing the config and after I reset everything, none of the lights worked. The loco would move, but nothing else worked. I thought I fried the decoder.

So I reset the decoder, shoved the config back in and still nothing. Pulled the decoder out and placed it on my decoder tester and guess what? The lights worked! I found that the circuitboard in the loco requires AUX12 to be on. I had changed that from powerpack control to dimmable headlight as per ESU's suggestion. After I tied it to a function key and turned it on, then the lights would work again. So, I changed AUX12 back to powerpack control so that it would automatically come on, saved it, and am done messing around with this thing. Will be running it tonight to get my mileage out of it before something else strange happens.

Watching the ALL Star game
I'm watching the replay now on MLB.TV!

In the top of the first inning the Yankees' Cody Bellinger and Ben Rice provided not one, but two 2-out hits with runners in scoring position to give the Americal League more runs (3) than it needed. Both hits were left-on-left! The National League's starter Cristopher Sanchez of the Phillies was struggling his command due to the pressure of pitching in his first All-Star game in front of his team's hometown crowd, this is the All-Star game! That is baseball, the harder you try the worse it can get, relax and trust your talent.

The American League's starter, Dylan Cease struck out the side in the bottom of the first!

Looking at the box score I see that eleven American League pitchers combined for a 3-hit shutout! Wow, I can't wait to see the rest!

Now back to the All-Star game!
