Great movie. I guess Alec Baldwin fit the part but I much prefer Harrison Ford as Jack Ryan as in the later movies.Hands down one of my favorite movies, its right up there with the Rocky Horror Picture Show , Smokey and the Bandit, and Blazing Saddles!
We listen but we don't judge, right??

I have full faith and confidence in my Urologist. My only question/complaint is why do they keep the bathroom door locked? If I could hold it, I wouldn't be there!

Good morning. It's 74 and mostly cloudy.
I found a replacement speaker enclosure--from Atlas. It is a very reasonable $2.50.
Shipping is $25.

I just had a brain storm. I copied the part number, and pasted it in a Fleabay search. I found the part there, for a $.25 premium to cover the Fleabay fees, and $4 shipping. From Atlas. I bought it.

Well, howdy there internet peeps.
It's Troy again.
tummy is unsettled today. Not ralphing level, but with stuff not quite moving through. So probably not the exploding variety going around.
To take my mind off the brick sitting in the belly, I did some retail therapy. had to preorder a beaver from Trainworld.
Arrival projected to be end of August. Which probably means end of Sept or Oct.
Wife begins her Methotrexate tonight, so she may not feel well tomorrow. We'll see.
I better get to the grocery and make sure she's got her vanilla yogurt to help her tummy settle.

RANK AMATEURS OF THE MODEL RAILROAD FORM MEMBER
Been emailing with Accurascale about the sound decoder that they sent me, sans sounds. Works great as a quadruple the cost regular decoder. It took 3 emails to finally get the OK for the return. One sentence emails take a lot of emails to communicate. Was about to start blasting away at the failure to communicate issue, but they said to send it back for replacement in their last. So, it's all packed up in the same box it came in and the postage paperwork is done.
I also installed the other sound decoder from Youchoos for my Dapol GWR 517. Had to go through Youchoos since Dapol doesn't sell the sound decoders aftermarket. I was told that they contract out for their sound installed models. I wrote to the company prior to purchasing and the guy provided me enough info to make the sale. Sounds good and is chocked full of sounds - all 28 functions are used.

Good morning from dew covered Wisconsin. It is wet out there and I even flipped the cushions on the furniture on the south deck and nope still too damp. The wind is at 3 so that’s no help and the sun hasn’t appeared yet though sunrise was at 5:31. It’s 6:19 now! I’m inside till they dry.
I have a headache and a throbbing left foot. Not sure if it’s a caffeine lacking headache or lack of decent sleep headache. So 3 Ibuprofen and I’m on a second zero sugar Dr Pepper. Normal for me is 1 caffeinated drink at wake up
We are going to see the Supergirl movie at 2:15 and the grandson’s hockey at either 5:30 or 7:30. Can’t remember but we are fairly sure with the heat index over 100f degrees at either time the granddaughter’s Miracle League baseball game will be cancelled

Going to get warm and sticky today. Currently its a sunny 72F with a high of 93F. Big story is the humidity. Its already above 90%. Yesterday didn't
get as warm as predicted. It was forecasted to be 91F and it only reached 88F. It actually didn't feel too bad when I took my afternoon swim. We
will see what it feels like this afternoon.
Not much going on around here. I have a load of clothes I need to start and get the garbage/recycle bins to the curb. We also have a summer
volleyball league game tonight.
My daughter is now rethinking her decision to not play travel volleyball this year. There is another tryout later this week so we will see what she
decides. I was really hoping she wasn't going to do it this year. Its a huge time commitment not only for her, but us as well.

73°F/70°F this morning. It's supposed to get miserable today around noon so the A/C is going to be coming back to work. I got away with another day yesterday without A/C that was even nicer than Sunday was. That's all over now.
Summer's back with a vengeance starting today. 61 days until Autumn.

Same Ol' Buzzard
Good Morning All. Mostly clear and a cool 71°. It did sprinkle here a little yesterday evening, about 0.15" in the gauge while we were gone out to eat. Had to drive through some much heavier rain through part of the trip home. Still forecast for just mid-upper 80's until the weekend.
Doctor visit yesterday morning was uneventful, although he did reduce the dosage of one medication. Wife twisted my arm and we stopped at Jersey Mike''s for lunch pick up. Made many additional stops at the Vitamin Shop, post office, pharmacy and the Tom Thumb close to home. Since we were so late getting home, nothing had time to thaw from the freezer for supper, so we made the trek to Denton with no particular place in mind. On the way, wife was checking out the menu and we discovered that the place that she had in mind, Houlihan's, had permanently closed! Make a note of that Kevin, as it was in the lobby of the Embassy Suites where you have gone for the ReaperCon in the past. Saltgrass was then the choice.
Too wet (rain & dew) out for anything significant this morning, and I don't expect any wind to dry things out until afternoon.
Out in the train shed yesterday, I didn't do much besides run some more trains. Some days are just like that. I did paint those fence sections, and will look at detailing them and installing them next.
Joe - Maybe I missed it, but have you and your wife picked out a new place yet?

Mikey - Digital photos have been the cause for many remodels on my layout.

Late folk singer and Arlo's father, Woody Guthrie, was born on this day in 1912. He once wrote a protest song about his landlord in the early 50's, who happened to be Donald Trump's father. It was not recorded though.
