Good Morning All. It's cloudy and 74° here. Scattered showers are in the area but I don't expect them to hit here. Radar shows them moving away to the east. It did actually rain briefly here yesterday, just shy of 0.2"; but that was more of a nuisance than a rain. But it started just as I had gotten into the pool so that cut that short. High temperatures this week just reaching the mid to upper 80's!
Did some mowing between church and lunch yesterday, then it became too warm after my nap. Puttered around and removed a couple of items from the honey-do list before heading to the train shed.
Today starts with
another trip to the PCP for
another follow-up. I had been relegated to an NP on the last two trips, but neither of them were real helpful. Some of the numbers from the recent blood draw are not optimal, so maybe he can shed some light on them. Pretty much kills the rest of the day. Daughter #2 might be up today to pick up the granddog after lunch.
Out in the train shed yesterday, I paused on the structure cleaning to re-do the parking lot behind a row of downtown businesses. Re-did all of the stripes, which were OK, but just didn't look good in photos.
Over at the workbench, I finished up all six Bar Mills Insta-Fence sections, that will go between the parking lot and the main line.
Can't decide yet whether or not to paint them, or just weather them. Leaning towards painting them and adding posters and simple graffiti. I am going to first remove a couple of random boards to give the impression that it's been there for a while.
Which brings up the question. What can I do with the laser-cut sprues that I removed??? They look interesting but I haven't figured out what they could be used for. I'll save them (along with others) until I figure something out or someone here can suggest something.
Today's plan though is to pull all of the flatcars out of the small TOFC yard and clean the track and ballast there. That yard is mostly there just for the visuals. I rarely switch it out as I am limited by the number of cars/trailers that I have available. Plus, these 85' flatcars are a bit tricky to back up through the switches into the yard. It can be done, but requires a lot of care.

One of my techs is all about four wheeler and mini bike repair so I will drop it in his bay tomorrow morning.
That's my neighbor Bubba. Backyard shade tree mechanic. There's a steady stream of them going up & down the road past my house all week long. Some pretty fancy ones at that.
Todd - Glad to read about Maria's quick recovery.

Dimensional lumber has always been 1/4" smaller than stated.
Yep! Been that way as long as I have been buying it.
